“Nice experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2012

Nice atmosphere, homey and comfortable without being too relaxed. Good service and nice menu choices, well executed flavors and good presentation. Well sized portions with out being overwhelming. the only criticism: Oysters should be served in 1/2 dozens, otherwise the menu needs to say so... 3 oysters is not a portion.

“The best Sunday brunch anywhere around here.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2011

Exquisite food, great service, comfortable atmosphere. I've been here many times and it has never disappointed. This is a true "brunch", with bacon, omelets to order, eggs benedict, bagels with salmon, and juicy prime rib, roast leg of lamb, oysters on the half shell, vegetables...well you can read the menu on-line. All I can say is that everything is delicious.

Oh, and the desserts and baked goods are all made in-house. Don't miss the creme brullee! The coffee is hot and strong; the service is attentive; the atmosphere is rustic. Even though there are table linens and real silver, there's nothing stiff or formal about the Greenbriar--this *is* Boulder, after all. You can pretty much wear anything, as long as you're wearing something:)

The Greenbriar is also a great place to go for dinner on that special occasion, but I'm rather addicted to the brunch. It is a bit on the pricey side--$28.00, but well worth it for what you get. You can pay less elsewhere if you want bland, steam-table fare.

The Greenbriar is out in the country, between Boulder and Lyons, and definitely worth the drive from just about anywhere. I have friends who come up from Denver just for the brunch--it's that good. In summer they have outdoor seating as well.

“From soup to nuts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2011

The Greenbriar is a lovely restaurant with wonderful food. You order the entree and receive the appetizers, soups, salads and desserts. The price for the entree seemed high until you realize all the food that you will get.
Every once in a while you come across one of those restaurants that reminds you what fine dining is. It truly can be a memorable experience. They deserve all of the accolades they receive.

“Pricey & Disappointing Brunch "”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2011

I read such good reviews about the dinners we decided to try brunch when visiting from Maryland. The ambiance was nice and the staff accommodating. The food was disappointing however. The omelet station only had one working burner which caused a line. The muffins were dry and the fresh fruit lacking taste. The bacon was undercooked and they ran out of waffles. After being seated for 15 minutes we were not asked our choice of beverages. Perhaps we will return in the future and try a dinner.
