“THE Place for wild game in Boulder.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

A short drive up Boulder Canyon takes you the the Red Lion. Scene of many weddings and banquets. I have looked forward to an annual dinner there for over 30 years. Very good steaks and seafood are on the menu along with some german favorites. There are always two or more game dishes to be enjoyed. The perfect end to the evening is apple strudel and coffee with Glog. (sp?) Glog is cream that is whipped to just this side of butter.

“An old standard endures”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Still a beautiful place with food that fits the price. Nothing special, but still reliable. Shows the hand of consistent management for many years. May it go on forever.

“Good food - poor service.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

Setting was very nice. Our main waiter was not on the ball at all. Did not ask for drinks, took over 15 mins to get our order, forgot one of our drinks.

The waiter assistant was 180° different. His service level was second to none.

The food was good. I would not pay the price we paid for the quality of the food.

“Superb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

The food was good and the drinks were great. I have never met a bartender so good at their job in my life. I wish I were rich enough to pay him for personal parties lol.

“Great setting, beautiful scenery, delicious buffalo and trout”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

Attended a banquet in this delightful paradise. The roasted buffalo was rare and flavorful. The trout was good too. My colleagues and I enjoyed walking around the grounds. The babbling brook was a nice respite from the day’s conference.
