We have eaten at upscale restaurants all over the country. The Kitchen is one of the best. Some highlights: The sweet corn flan with assorted fresh wild mushrooms was perfect. The flan had excellent texture, the variety of mushrooms (fresh and grown locally) was excellent. The flan was surrounded by a zippy balsamic based sauce which complemented the dish nicely without overwhelming. The tomato soup was simple, yet bursting with taste. Per our server (who was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered enthusiatic service) the soup consisted of local roma-type tomatoes simmered with onions for awhile and then cream added. They must have done something else to make it taste so good! The selection of other dishes was very tempting, and the menu changes nightly. They also serve breakfast, which we had the following morning, which consisted of expertly prepared eggs, pancakes and other breakfast favorites. I would go out of my way to return to Boulder to eat here again.
