If you are going to spend money going out to eat, this is where you want to spend it. While probably the most expensive place in Boulder, you do get a wonderful meal. When I go, I usually order several meals to split as appetizers to work up to the main course. I have been many times and the food is always top notch. The menu changes, but there are usually some items that remain. I always try at least one new dish.
Favorites are: Potato encrusted halibut, pancetta wrapped quail, lamb tenderloin, Chateaubriand for 2 (They never seem to have this any more, but if you see it, get it, the vegetable layout that comes with it is just amazing. I haven't ordered the filet mignon for just one person, but it might have the same spread.) .
The one complaint that I might have is that the waitstaff seems less attentive in recent years than they used to be. Not bad service, but maybe a slightly less committed waitstaff.
The wine steward that is usually there is very good. Let him help you spend your money wisely if you don't know what you want. Even if you do know what you want, he might still have a good recommendation :)
