“Great selection of Mediterranean foods”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

This place was recommended by our hotel in Longmont, and we're so happy we tried it. The food selection is very diverse and it was so hard to make a choice among all the really appealing items. We chose the lamb kabobs and the watermelon gazpacho. My husband and I usually split our meals, since we don't eat a lot, and the restaurant split the servings, even the soup, which was very nice. The gazpacho was absolutely wonderful and very refreshing on a 100+ degree hot hot day. The kabobs were also very good. We also had an innovative dessert that was really good. It was called a mixed berry tart--a lemon cookie with pistachio creme, topped with blackberries and strawberries and salted candied pistachios all on top of a berry sauce--it was yummy! Our server, Joe, was very knowledgeable about all kinds of facts about beers and other drinks. He told us stories about how gin and tonic was invented--he was pretty cool. The one thing that needs to be addressed is the cleanliness of the floor. There were bits and pieces of things that should have been picked up.

“Very trendy, and going downhill....”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

Living in Westminster, we've been to "The Med" on several occassions, and today was the first truly disappointing one. First off, the waitstaff appear to be largely college students, and they couldn't possibly have shown less interest in providing a positive dining experience. Secondly, the water tasted like it came fresh from a toilet, and my husband's glass of wine was delivered with rather questionable floating particulates, which when pointed out to a waitress, she tried to brush off by saying "that usually means it was just uncorked." (Seriously????) I got the Mariscos Paella, (having really enjoyed the Valenciana previously,) and was not only disappointed by seafood that definitely wasn't fresh, but additionally calamari that was so overcooked it was equivalent to eating a rubber band, and a good heaping of chicken, which wasn't even listed as being in it on the menu. If friends were really pushing to go there in the future, I'd probably give it another chance, but based on tonight, I don't plan on going back again anytime soon.

“Good food and great happy hour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

The tapas are really great and if you go during happy hour the prices aren't bad. The patio is beautiful and the staff is friendly. It can get pretty crowded and loud so you have to choose the right time to go.
