“Nice mix of Italian/Spanish and other Mediterranean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

Food was decent enough. Tapas was well done with just enough variety and creativity to make it interesting. I had a rib eye steak which was very nicely done. Colleagues had the bevette steak which, to be honest, did not *look* appetizing and they stared longingly at my steak. A bit on the loud and bustling side as well. But that seems to be popular these days.

“Most Popular in Boulder”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

This place is absolutely perfect. There is something for everyone here and the locals love it. Their tapas menu is enormous and full of bite sized goodies. During happy hour, the price is CHEAP. A full size menu is also available and the dishes are yummy and dependable. Their pizza oven churns out delicious margheritas and other variations of pizza. The service is pretty good. There are a ton of college students working there and not everyone of them knows everything about the menu but I'd hardly make that a black mark on this place. If you're in Boulder, definitely try it.

“Special trip to Boulder just to go to the Med!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013 via mobile

We shortened our week long ski trip by one night to take a detour through Boulder so we could go to the Med again. As always, a delightful experience with great tapas. Flat bread, meatballs, lamb skewers, chicken skewers, calamari - all were quite tasty! Walked right in at 7:30 on a Tuesday night. Restaurant was bustling but they were able to accommodate our party of 4! You should try it!

“Great Lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

I love tapas, but living in WY that is not a restaurant option. A quick trip to Boulder and lunch the "MED" satisfys my craving. The restaurant is open and light, with warm feel. The menu is varied, but I have never strayed from the tapas: polenta, gambas, bacon wrapped dates.. The portions are good and the prices reasonable.

“Large Restaurant with a Large Appeal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

We had reservations at one of the 30 $ per entree spots in town but were hungry earlier than our reservations. We were a walk up to the Med and could not have been happier with the results.

First of all, we tried the other two "foodie" more popular spots , one where we had a later reservation and inquired on an earlier table. No way, was the reply, they are not available.
This was not the case at the Mediterranean. Yes they were packed with folks waiting, but they handled the request with ease and suggested a glass of vino at the bar and told me exactly when to expect a table. Unlike the "foodie" spot, these folks know how to treat their customers.

We went for the tapas menu and a good bottle of wine. Their list is very good and also extensive.
Their prices are very fair. Service could not have been better. Our wait was working weekends and in nursing school. She was helpful and knew the menu and wine list well.

All in all, a very enjoyable evening with great food, service and ambiance.

When in Boulder, this restaurant is a slam dunk 5 star.
