After a lovely morning drive through mountains and canyon roads my husband and I stopped in Boulder for a bite and some drinks. Because of the mid afternoon timing (2 pm), we opted for wine and apps. They offered discounted drinks and appetizers during their 2pm - 6 pm "Happy Hour". Green pea hummus was. Topped with with chopped green chiles for a bit of a kick. Warm pitas to go with. Also snacked on "the best bread in town" (chewy/crusty/lovely) accompanied by a delicious white bean purée with flecks of carrot, parsley, garlick, sea salt and olive oil - loved it. I chose a Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay. My husband had a Laguinitas CA double IPA. The atmosphere was intimate with brick walls, cozy bar, and a garden room looking out on the street scene. An outdoor sidewalk cafe under glass awning offered additional seating. Our waiter was friendly & knowledgable. All the food looked delicious coming out of the kitchen - small portions and nicely plated. Definitely a hit with us and would like to go back for dinner. Highly recommend it.
