“A much needed break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2011

My wife and I decided to rent an RV and hit the western half of America. Boulder was our last "real" stop. Yes we have 2 other nights going back to Austin, but we'd have to do those anyway. After several nights of bad sleep we decided to stay in a hotel that had a king size bed, not a double like our RV. The only room they had available was on the Concierge floor, which certainly has it's perks, but came out to 229 a night. Totally worth it.

When we checked in at 5, the concierge lounge was closed so the front desk comped us a free drink and appetizer at the restaurant. As nice as that was, we really just wanted the internet since it had been elusive at some of the parks we stayed at. I asked if we could trade the food an drink coupon for internet service in our room (the lounge and downstairs have free wifi) and Taylor at the front desk just gave us that too. The customer service here is impeccable and the view of the mountains isn't too bad either.

**A note to RVers - they have ample parking in the back for any size rig you have, so if you want to get a real night's sleep, they are RV friendly here**

It's less than a mile from Pearl Street (the downtown shopping district) and the next time we come back, we will definitely stay here. The room is huge, the bed is SUPER soft and the food on the room service menu is reasonably priced and delicious.

If you're thinking of coming to Boulder and don't want to pay over $300 for Hotel St. Julien, THIS is the place to stay.

This has been our favorite Boulder Hotel for several years and we've stayed here many times. Kids love the pool area which is always kept clean. Staff was very friendly including an intern from Hungary this year who was especially professional and helpful. Concierge lounge and adjacent patio area was wonderful; recommend putting in a microwave with popcorn, etc. for visitors to use over weekends when full snack service is not available. Location is only a couple blocks away from a mall with a movie theater. A fresh-market type grocery store is adjacent. Pearl Street mall area is not an easy walking distance but you can catch a bus from the 29th street mall.

We travel often and stay at Mariott when possible. The Boulder Mariott is very spacious and clean and has quality bed linens. The staff is friendly and attentive. Mariott is officially my hotel chain of choice. Highly recommended.

I was here just one night, and the room was more than adequate. I had a room with a king bed and a separate sofa, which was nice for lounging on. The bathroom is spacious and equipped with orange-ginger bath products, which is a nice touch. The folks at the front desk were very friendly. The hotel is fairly centrally located--the 29th Street Mall across the street provide easy shopping and casual dining options, but famed Pearl Street is a bit more of a hike.

Room Tip: park in the south lot to avoid the garage fee

We booked a block of rooms for our wedding guest. The staff was wonderful to deal with. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. All of our guests were happy and taken care of.

Stayed here for one night so we could play in Boulder for a couple of days. Last visit was in May 2010. As on our previous visit the Staff is exemplary. They are its greatest asset.

The rooms are basic Marriott nice and the bed is comfortable. No issues with this. The hotel is very clean as well.

Location is not too far from Pearl Street Mall. If you don't mind walking a bit you can definitely walk there. Otherwise you can drive.

The biggest problems we encountered this visit was noise level. We were awakened three times during the night by people coming back from ????? and speaking in loud voices -- can't say whether they were drunk or not but they were definitely noisy enough to keep us awake for a while and in one case it was 45 minutes my husband was awake while two men talked while hubby heard their entire conversation through the paper thin walls (I sleep better than he does - heard them but went back to sleep). The other odd thing that occurred was they were having some kind of group meeting function that began at 10:30 PM that included dinner! I have been to many conferences in my lifetime but none that occurred after 7 pm. Although this didn't interfere with our visit, since their meeting rooms are on the first floor, I do wonder if the returning loudmouths were part of that function.

Would we stay here again - that's up to debate. Maybe we'll try another hotel in Boulder on the next go around.
