Dinner with my daughter and her boyfriend for my birthday. A must is to start with the Top Shelf Guacomole prepared at your table we also added a Cantina Roll for a second appetizer, sort of Mexican sushi that's lightly deep fried, surprisingly good. Served with house margarita and we are off to a good start. I had the Camaron Poblano Asada
Grilled steak around poblano pepper with shrimp, mushrooms,
onions and monterey jack cheese, on chimichurri sauce, it was really good. The pescatarian had fish tacos and my daughter had shrimp enchiladas. The restaurant calls itself "Modern Mexican" and I think that is appropriate. A little more upscale ingredients and a little lighter than traditional mexican. The waiter overheard us saying something about birthday and immediately offered me a complimentary dessert which turned out to be a really gooey chocolate torte with a sparkler in it. This was Saturday night before the Super Bowl at 7 PM and the restaurant was only half full. It is a quite large facility and with the economy being what it is it's hard to fill up a space that large.
