My wife and I have a cabin in the mountains and from time to time we stay at the Silver Saddle Motel instead of a long drive home. We were skiing Eldora and it was really snowing. So we decided to eat at the Fantastic Walnut Brewery (we always do) and stay in Boulder for the night. Well the Silver Saddle was filled with a construction crew. The owner called Mark at the Foot of the Mountain Motel to see if they had rooms. They did and Mark was extremely friendly and gracious. We stayed and enjoyed it....the room(#4) was very quaint and clean. It had everything we needed to be comfortable. Please note this is not the Hilton but is priced fairly. It is somewhat rustic. If I had to balance my commentary with a negative comment, I would say the room needed some asthetic repairs(no big deal though)...the setting is very nice with the national forest to the rear and boulder creek to the front. The best parts of Boulder are within walking distance. The staff was very freindly...the continental breakfast was a good snack to hold us over...it had healthy choices...but it is just a continental breakfast...We will be back and recommend it to friends and family!
