“Dec 26, 2011 - Jan 2, 2012”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2012

Not what we expected for the price. No bellman for baggage, no elevator. The appointments in our unit, esp. kitchen were sub standard. Huge stain on bedspread in MB, gross. Daily housekeeping didn't change sheets entire stay even after child had nosebleed. Internet was s l o w. Shut off water to entire complex at 6:00 PM with no warning with people taking a shower to fix a leak in one unit per the desk (apparently shutoff valves are not standard in this quality of construction) and I seriously doubt the main water service to the entire complex was breached. Feeble attempt to apologize by sending $20 of candy - thanks but the kids don't pay the bill. Hot tub was nice and accessible. Business center good. FYI, ATT phone service is completely overloaded in the BC area resulting in poor ability to make calls, retrieve Email and voicemail, text was best. Location was the only saving grace. Bottom line, if you are going to spend this much money you can easily find a higher quality offering, if not in BC, then in Aspen, Snowmass, Steamboat, etc. Would not stay at this property again....ever. We can go anywhere in the world for this price...

Room Tip: Don't stay and you'll be better off.

“Simply the best...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2011

We recently had a family reunion in Beaver Creek, and we were lucky enough to stay at Highlands Slopeside #213, an elegant 3 bdrm condo. A short walk to the excellent and elegant spa and gym and pool at the Park Hyatt just down the hill, and their (the Park Hyatt's) excellent restaurant, where we had an amazing breakfast buffet.
Highly recommended!

“Love The Ascent #305!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2011

Award winning decor, indoor pool and hot tub, nice gym with new equipment, great staff, and right by the bus stop. Indoor heated parking for the bad weather days. Shuttle bus right to the lifts during ski season. This resort is the best for a quiet place to get away from the madness while still being in the heart of restaurants, shopping, etc. It was great to have a beautiful kitchen and two bedrooms. Everything is so comfortable!

“Highlands Slopeside Unit 210 PERFECT ski-in / ski-out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2011

Highlands Slopeside Unit 210 is a very large 3 bedroom / 3 1/2 bath with an upstairs master suite and extra half bath and downstairs 2nd master suite. Also has a 3rd bedroom with full size bunk bed and attached den. Wonderful large screen flat TV's in every room including den. Perfect accommodations for large family or group of friends and ski-in / ski-out could not be easier! Literally walk out of living room and you are on the slopes, ski right down to the lift. So easy after a long day of skiing to come right into your living room (leaving your skis in the outside locker right on your terrace first of course!) Only downside is hearing the snowcats grooming in the wee hours since you are right on the slopes. You are also right next to the ski room where everyone begins and ends their day so if you are not an early riser, this might affect your sleep in the upstairs master bedroom, but hey...you're there to ski so you SHOULD be an early riser to get the best runs!!! This unit is very well equipped from the kitchen to the library of books and you can tell the owners are very considerate of their guests. My only complaint is the lighting throughout the unit is on the dark side but I've noticed that in most of the ski lodges we've stayed in. Being from Miami, we tend to like "lighter-brighter" versus darker. Definitely NOT a deal breaker for this unit though! Had a wonderful experience all in all!

“What a great experience, one of our best trips.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2011

The entire experience from start to finish was first class. The concierge at Beaver Creek Landing was helpful from well before we arrived, continuing her assistance throughout our trip. Every person we came in contact with "got it". They really understand the hospitality industry is about service. The entire area is family friendly and user friendly. When my daughter broke her ski boot near a lodge at the top of the lift at Beaver Creek, the manager of the lodge ,Andy. stopped what he was doing and helped fix her boot. Business conference interesting as well. The skiing was great and ranks with some of the best places in Canada (Whistler) and Europe. Vail is ten miles away and was, to my surprise, very user friendly as well. While you can do very well without a car, we are glad to have had a car. The high point of our trip was snowmobiling into the mountains with Piney River Adventures which was beyond description as well as dog sledding experience. Overall a great vacation spot and great value.
