I visited for a business trip. The hotel is impressive. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have what you need. I will go back ! Thank you ritz team. The rooms are beautiful. Great fire pit for gathering with friends. Nice heated lap pool.

Room Tip: Ask for room that overlooks the mountain. You won't be disappointed.

That was our first stay in a Ritz-Carlton, and we were impressed by nearly everything: the service, the hotel, the room, the swimming pool area, the food (we only got a breakfast)… There was only one small point: going from the rooms to the swimming pool is nearly impossible once the spa is closed (at 8 pm), you have to go inside a labyrinth through the technical galleries and that's odd in such a place.

Room Overview: If you are booking a suite or a club-level room, this hotel experience is probably fabulous. If you just have a regular room (like I did), the rooms are nice and what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. If you get a regular room, you will likely want to plan on spending much of your hotel-time in the restaurants and outside areas.

Room Location: The hallways are LONG and winding -- so the trek to the elevators is a haul. Request a room closer to the elevators if you can. Also, my room was inset and therefore quite dark (I had to have every light on in the room just to work on my computer.) Ask for a room with good natural light.

Hotel Location: While the views and setting are very peaceful and lovely, the hotel is a distance from the town center. Great if you want to 'get away'; not great if you want to be in the energy of a ski town.

The staff and the maintenance of this facility is of the highest quality. A beautiful setting and high quality facilities makes for a perfect getaway with nearby Vail and Beaver Creek available by car within a few minutes. The spa was very high quality as well. Very pleased with the stay.

I love Colorado whether it is summer or winter. For the last two summers, our family has stayed at the Ritz. We absolutely love it and plan to return every summer until we can find something better. Our kids are both under 6 so we feel completely comfortable and safe. We can relax outside while we watch our kids play on the lawn. The pool and work out facilities are top notch. Beaver Creek has so much to offer and the shuttle service is so convenient.
Last winter, I went for the first time to ski and had a blast. I went with my girl friends an we stayed on the club level which was definately the way to go. Ski in and ski out is so convenient and the service is so awesome that they will help you put your boots on and carry your skis out onto the snow. The skiing in Beaver Creek is perfect and on the Bachelor Gulch side is not very crowded so you almost feel like you have the mountain to yourself. I never want to leave when I am there.

My boyfriend and I spent a wonderful 8 days at the Ritz. It has everything you need (for a price of course). However, we enjoyed it and for part of our stay we had a suite, which is outfitted with a full kitchen and fireplace, and absolutely heavenly.

Two drawbacks...
- the hotel is situated on the mountain, which makes it perfect for ski-in ski-out during the winter months, but during the summer (which was when we were there), you have to either drive or take the shuttle wherever you need to go. The free shuttle is timely and easy, but you still have to travel rather than just walk to the nearest restaurants or shops.
- there are dogs... lots of them. I'm actually a dog lover, but even for me, this was a bit much. It seemed that about a quarter of the Ritz guests took their pets with them, and for the most part, these were not small dogs. They included St. Bernards, standard poodles, Golden Retrievers, etc. The hotel mascot is actually a St Bernard that gets paraded around the common areas every afternoon. Also, I didn't see any designated doggie spots outside, so I can't imagine what the snow looks like in the winter... (although it is the Ritz, so they must take care of it, right?) While it wasn't a huge detriment for us, if your not an animal lover this may not be the hotel for you.
