“High Mountain Heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

Set in stunning Beaver Creek Colorado this resort has quiet serene splendor in the Rockies. Very nice clean pools and spas - separate one for the kids, which is nice - in room jetted tubs, clean and comfortable appointments throughout.
Helpful concierge and pleasant staff in general.
Great big screen media room, complimentary wifi and printable computers for boarding passes and such.
Beaver Creek is a world unto it's own, of course. Charming village with a European atmosphere and shops galore. Watch out for the Market Place's addicting chocolates and ice cream. And don't forget the Thursday night rodeo, always fun in the summer season. Nice clear air and mild temps for us Florida folks...

Room Tip: Suggest mountain view. Close your windows or the magpies will definitely wake you!

Spent 4 nights at the Hyatt Mountain Lodge in mid-June. The room was great, the beds were very comfy, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Judy- the concierge was fantastic and really helped us decide what activities would be best for the time we had and our ability. She recommended a whitewater raft trip that was fantastic! We chose this place because of the location. We could make day trips to Breckenridge and Aspen/Maroon Bells. It was also within walking distance to some beautiful hiking trails. Would definitely stay again.

Spent five days at the Hyatt Mountain Lodge last week- the rooms were great, views were lovely and the staff very helpful and friendly. Right in the middle of Beaver Creek village- we could walk to everything and do daily hikes. Very family friendly with the number of families that were staying there while we where there. The pool is a little small as is the exercise room but it was nice to have both these facilities. We got a one bedroom and a studio (for two adults and two teens) and they were sufficient for the five days we were there as we were up early, had breakfast in the rooms, packed our lunches and came back before dinner time. Visiting in June was lovely as it was not crowded and yet we could partake in all the actives. Will definitely come back.

Room Tip: We were in 139A - a nice corner 1 bedroom which had a nice cross breeze and good views of the mounta...

This property has everything you need for a week. Great location and furnishings. Kitchen has minimum requirements, but enough to cook light meals. We were there for a week in the summer & thoroughly enjoyed the convenience to everything we did. Most all activities were within walking distance. Would love to stay here again.

We stayed for 7 days in a two bed apartment. Both bedrooms were a decent size, the bathroom facilities excellent and the lounge/diner/kitchen area comfortable and fit for purpose. Storage space is good. Wifi works fine.

Coming from the UK, it was odd to have a stove top kettle, but that is of little consequence. Staff service was excellent and there was a generally very good atmosphere. Underground parking is convenient. The hotel is a little walk from the ski lifts but nothing compared to a typical European experience.

Breakfast is provided, however, this is the same from day to day. It is entirely fit for purpose and seems to work with guest sitting in or around reception or taking things back to their rooms. I liked that iced water was available in the corridor behind reception whenever.

I cannot criticise any aspect of the service received or quality of accommodation. I feel that having concentrating on skiing, there is much that I have missed in the area.

Location is great but service is poor. Staff is only there for the ski pass. Tiny luggage carts that YOU have to push 100 yards up a ramp to get to an elevator. If you have your luggage delivered, they will not hold it.

Room Tip: Many better choices

The resort was a comfortable stay. The amenities are nice. They offer a complimentary daily breakfast that was plentiful as well as a complimentary ski valet that was nice. If you're looking for easy access to the slopes, we've definitely had closer. You have to walk thru the village to get to and from the lifts. The units have a full kitchen and W/D units with plenty of dishes for making meals.
