“Highlight of our Ski Trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2012

We stayed our 2nd week of skiing here after a so-so resort in Breckenridge, and we felt like we fell into the lap of luxury the moment we arrived! The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The 1 bedroom suite had a full kitchen with all the amenities, washer and dryer in the room, jacuzzi tub in the spacious bedroom with a very comfy bed! Small patio with table 2 chairs and a great gas grill which we made good use of! The concierge was wonderful for information and making sure our stay was the best. Even though the Sheraton is not on the mountain, skiing at Beaver Creek is very accessible, either the free city shuttle over to the Gondola by the Westin, or right up to the Village Base area (we walked over to the Gondola most days since it only about 2 blocks away). Getting to Vail by public transportation is also convenient, and only $4 each way. One of the best amenities was the outdoor hot tub on the 7th floor with great view of the ski area, night sky, and city lights. Also great gym, dry sauna, and a wonderful steam room.

We traded our vacation rental for a large condo with an adjoining smaller condo. The kids stayed in the smaller condo. The resort was very nice! Great customer service. We stayed one week, and enjoyed having a full kitchen to cook meals. The condos were clean and the beds very comfortable. There were only two minor negatives for us. The view was of a parking lot and the kitchen was not well stocked. With that being said, we were surrounded by mountains the entire day and it was only a minor negative. The property itself was terrific. We would stay here again!!!! BTW..we loved Bob's....great food and within walking distance.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not overlook a parking lot.

Nice large rooms with good quality. Surrounded by parking lots, condos, retail and other buildings. Not near mountain but bus picks you up across the street and brings you to BC village. Room was a little warm. Saved $ by renting at hotel. Nice staff.

Thank you for complimenting our villas, and our staff. You are correct, we are not located in Beaver Creek, rather we are in the town of Avon, adjacent to the Avon Recreation Center and just 1 block from the towns Nottingham Park and Nottingham Lake. We do boast a beautiful mountain view from many of our villas; in fact some even have great views of the slopes at Beaver Creek. While each villa comes equipped with ceiling fans in both the living room and bedroom, we also have added an additional portable oscillating fan in the bedroom closet. That being said, we are sorry to hear you had room temperature issues. While we do not manage it, the great people at Charter Sports (located on the lobby level) do offer to our in-house guests discount on both ski/snowboard equipment as well as bike rentals in the summer. Thank you for the feedback. We hope you will return to be our guest again soon!

This Hotel is a beautiful Resort. We arrived early to start our vacation and the staff at the front desk were very helpful by checking with Housekeeping to see if our room was ready. We were able to get in within an hour of our arrival and with 2 little kids ready for a nap from a long trip is a great plus for me and my husband. The rooms are very nice equipped with everything you need just like we were at home. After a day of skiing it was nice to come back to the Hotel to enjoy the facilities, the steamroom and outdoor hottub made our stay relaxing. The staff is very friendly and helpful, we got great places to go eat in the Avon area thanks to the help of your staff.

Room Tip: Book a room with a Oven if you plan to cook in the Room

The Sheraton is very clean, and has great access to the public transportation which takes you to Beaver Creek Village. The rooms are a bit small for a family of 4, but manageable. There are not a ton of restaurants in Avon, but many more in Edwards just a few miles away. Overall, we will definitely come back again.

This hotel was one of the greatest experiance I have ever had. When we arrived we were greeted with a very nice and helpful staff. Many times you go to hotels and employees are just there to work, but here the staff made it comfortable and pleasant. The rooms were VERY NICE well worth want we paid. Again the staff were VERY nice and were able to help me with questions about the area. The access to Beaver Creek was great. Wish there would have been more snow..I intend on coming back this summer to experiance there summer it was so beautiiful looking out the window on a Sunny day I can't wait to experiance it in the summer. I loved there entry way, it was so inviting...One day I sat there and consierge gave me lots of ideas to what to do in the evenings and all the events in Beaver Creek.

Room Tip: rooms facing East...

Booked this vacation thru time-share exchange. First time staying in Avon, Co and at the Sheraton Mountain Vista. The whole experience was nice. I had requested a two bedroom unit and we actually got two separate units with a connecting door. One unit was a deluxe room. It had the king size bed with whirlpool tub, big bathroom with shower stall, large vanity (but no drawers to put your stuff in), living area, dining area, fully equipped kitchen. The second unit, had a queen size bed, regular size bathroom but with lots of storage area, living room, dinning table, and kitchenette. Both units were very clean. Also, each unit has a washer/dryer unit. The staff at the resort was very nice and helpful. The conceirge was very knowledgable about the Avon and was able to suggest places to eat or go out for entertainment. Since we were there for a ski vacation, our main concern was hot tubs. Hot tubs are a must after a hard day of skiing. There are three hots on the premises. Two on the 7th floor next to the fitness center and one at ground level by the pool. The two on the 7th floor get crowded. Go to the one by the pool area. Towels are provided for the hot tub or pool area. Do not take your towels from the room. Avon is a small town, but offers a lot. There are lots of restaraunts and a good variety close by and in walking distance. The Sheraton offer a parking garage for their guest. Beaver Creek ski resort is less than 15 min by shuttle away. The shuttle is free. Charter Ski Rental is located in Sheraton on the first floor. The Sheraton also has lockers to store your ski or any equipment. We have a very nice stay at the Sheraton.

Room Tip: Controling the heat in the rooms was a little difficult. Couldn't really tell if the control re...
