“A Hidden Gem, Very Roomy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

The Lakeside Terrace resort is perfect for families wanting to stretch out and relax. The former condo units are all 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, with over 1400 square feet of space. The bedrooms are on opposite sides, so the teenagers can have their TV and loud music without interrupting your peaceful vacation. Each unit has a balcony overlooking a beautiful park and breathtaking mountain views. The kitchens are large enough to cook full meals. Be aware there is no air conditioning, so the summer days can get a little uncomfortable. Parking is directly under the building and the elevators are convenient. The last time we stayed there were no crafts or scheduled activities for kids, but a play area and park are very close. The check-in desk is off-site and they are quick to handle your needs. This is a comfortable place to spend a little time unwinding and enjoying a Colorado vacation.

Thank for your review of our property. We are pleased to hear you enjoy the facilities and all we have to offer. The units are very comfortable and homey, which a lot of our guests find perfect for their needs. Unfortunately, during the off seasons our Activities department has limited schedules available for children activities. However, access to the facilities in the Avon Recreation center, such as the pool and lazy river are some of the perks given to guests of Lakeside Terrace. There is also access to the Sheraton Mountain Vista’s gaming room, which offers Wii, Xbox, billards, arcade games, and much more. We are also pleased to hear you found the close proximity to the park and Nottingham Lake to your liking. We look forward to welcoming you back to Lakeside Terrace for your future visits to the area.

“I Wouldn't Mind Living Here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

We really enjoyed our week at Lakeside Terrace. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath plus den apartment was very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and the dual fireplace would have been wonderful if the weather was cooler. Actually, the master bedroom was very warm each night because of the pilot light in the fireplace, but we had the pilot light turned off and it was more comfortable. There is no air conditioning in these apartments. My husband was very impressed with the Bose radio. We had a washer and dryer in the unit and our balcony overlooked the mountains and a lake (see photos).

The location was great. We could walk to several restaurants, enjoy the river walk, walk around the beautiful Nottingham Lake and walk to Beaver Creek. As a guest of Lakeside Terrace you have access to an indoor recreational center which contained a fitness center, a lap pool, a floating river pool and a children’s pool with slides. There’s also a game room with a ping pong table and arcade games at the nearby Sheraton which Lakeside is affiliated with. Parking was in a secure garage.

One of the best things about Lakeside was the concierge service. Candace was extremely helpful in recommending hikes and other activities. She was amusing and honest. We would definitely stay here again.

“Convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

We really enjoyed our time here. We didn't have any issues, but there are a couple things I wish I would have known first.
This property is only managed by Sheraton. As a guest here, you cannot use the Sheraton outdoor pool. The pool that comes with these units is indoor municipal complex. Not a very good spot for adults to relax, Mostly kids. It was beautiful weather so it would have been nice to sit outside and catch some rays.
Our unit was spacious and clean. But it is nowhere comparable to the units of the Hyatt or Marriott vacation rentals.

Room Tip: The 2nd unit was plenty spacious for my husband, myself, and 2 twenty year olds daughters. Could sl...

We appreciate you taking the time to review our property and are pleased to hear you enjoyed your time at our resort. Lakeside Terrace Resort and Sheraton Mountain Vista do have their Own Home Owners Association's therefore this separation does change the facilities that are available at each property. The Lakeside Terrace does not have an outdoor pool, but the facilities at the Avon Recreation Center are wonderful and many guests prefer the Center to an outdoor pool. We hope you will come back to visit so we can extend a personal invite to you and your family to enjoy the many facilities that are offered for the Lakeside Terrace and areas surrounding!

“Wonderful stay in very nice unit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2012

We stayed in a two bedroom unit on the third floor. Garage parking was very nice.
Our unit was very spacious and very nicely laid out. Large living room, dining area, kitchen on one side and master bedroom, spacious bath areas, laundry facilities on the other. Every unit has its own barbecue located on the balcony...no walking 1 1/2 blocks to get to the public bbq area. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows available. The unit could use larger laundry machines, especially if six people were occupying the unit. The Avon recreation center was a short walk away for those who wanted to use the pool and exercise facilities.
I would definitely recommend the Lakeside Terrace to others.

“Great Space, but not that accessible for disabilities”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2011

We have stayed at the Lakeside Terrace a number of times and always felt the amount of space and the quality of the rooms was perfect for large families or groups with friends who might come to visit. This time, we chose it for those reasons, but requested their handicapped unit. They explained they did not have a roll in shower, but I felt we could bring our own transfer bench and make it work. I knew they had underground parking and an elevator, so I thought maybe we could get by with the tub. The guest bath was the one designed to be accessible, although it failed on a few points. The grab bar beside the toilet was not really long enough to reach from a wheelchair, although it was close. The sink had no roll under space. The master bathroom sink, had been cut out to roll under, but the rest of the bathroom wasn't accessible. It is unreasonable to roll from one end of the unit to the other to wash your hands or brush your teeth, if the accessible bathroom is at the other end. The tub looked like it might have worked ok. Counters in the unit were high and there were no accessible features in the kitchen, at all. The biggest problem was the bedroom. Although the master bedroom had space around the bed to allow a wheelchair to move, the bedroom nearest the "accessible" bathroom was so small you could hardly walk beside the bed. The wheelchair never stood a chance of fitting in that room. We explained our problem and were relocated to another location that worked better. It would be a fairly easy fix for them to make the master bathroom accessible. Until they do, I suggest anyone who uses a wheelchair full time would be better off staying elsewhere. Ask for photos. We did, but we didn't think to ask for pictures of the bedroom.

We are glad you have enjoyed our property on many occasions and appreciate your feedback about our units. We regret your disappointment with the handicap unit at our property, however, we are doing modifications to all of our handicap units and each unit will meet the current ADA accessible standards. We hope you will consider staying at the property once the renovations are completed and would love to welcome you back.
