Our traveling ski group returned to Vail/Beaver Creek after ten years of staying at wonderful ski resorts throughout the west. Vail and Beaver Creek will not dissapoint you. The skiing is wonderful, and if you are in a position to ski Monday through Thursday, you will enjoy these beautiful slopes without the throng that can come up from Denver on the Weekends, especially if there is fresh Pow. We were fortunate and skied a Thursday brewed up in heaven, but on to The Charter.
Our stay was in what I think is their largest unit, a wonderful five bedroom six bathroom "Club Level" which means adjacent to and the very best access to the pools (2, one inside and one outside), the spa (not ho-hum, but not "amazing" according to those in our party that ventured), and the hot tubs (3, one inside and two out, all perfect temp 104 plus or minus a degree). Walk out the unit, turn right for five feet and you're at the spa, really! Noise transmission was zero. I don't know if the walls are concrete, or concrete block, but noise transmission is this building to this five bedroom unit wasn't just low, it was not detectable. We watched TV, there are flat-screens in all bedrooms, and asked if we bothered our friends. All had the same reaction, couldn't hear a thing; very nice!
The unit CL032 :Club Level Unit 32 is spacious, well appointed and almost elegant, not pretentious, homey, warm, mountainy (no real views), with a very large kitchen, modern appliances (unfortunately our oven did not work the entire stay but we were given access to a unit close by to cook our lasagna etc.) This was really our only snafu, and our group is pretty "can-do, no big deal" types, it wasn't horrible. It could have potentially been awful if you had a family vacation going and planned on cooking a lot. We received around $500 in credit, for our trouble. The dining seating is a big beautiful picnic table. That sounds horrible, but it was mountain classy and worked fine. We seated 9 at one time with one on each end, four on one side and three facing. Everyone had space to eat and conversation was easy with us all at one table. The wine bar is two steps away and got lots and lots of use. Loved it! Plenty of nice varied stem ware for our different selections, again perfect.
The living room has a nice big gas fireplace. Not to mistaken for a real wood burner, but decent ambiance and since there wasn't a view, it was more fun to look at. The walls do have nice period/vintage ski posters and appropriate framed pictures. I really did enjoy the decorations, homey, not flashy but just right. Two large couches, a couple of easy chairs and plenty of space. There was adequate space for more than our group, as we entertained one evening with twelve all total and we all had plenty of room to roam of sit. There is a large sit down flat granite slab that serves as a breakfast bar, prep counter, or place to sit and visit with the cook(s). The kitchen is nice, has nice modern appliances including warming drawers, double-decker dishwasher, a huge sub zero type fridge and large gas range. Everything made sense in the layout and within a day we were all very comfortable finding cups, plates, mixing bowls, you name it. Easy to straighten and start over. The sound system was not really up to snuff. The Denon equipment is confusing and impossible to read the labels unless you posses microscopic vision. Bring a flashlight, or use your iPhone app to try to read what's what. The stereo equipment is on the left side of the fireplace in a closet. Hopefully someone in your group has some of the same stuff or at least can decipher the universal remote. The ceiling mounted speakers with no subwoofer were too loud and tinny to have normal conversations and music, so mostly we just turned it off once we figured it out. A woofer and maybe some surface mount Boze are in order, IMHO.
The Master Suite is killer. It's huge and should be fought over by groups. If we booked this room again, we would raffle that room off. Two love seats, a huge king, fireplace, a gigantic closet, jetted tub, shower, dual sinks, balcony, what's not to love?
The other suite one the main floor is very nice. King bed, large bathroom, no fireplace, or balcony, but really classy and nice.
Downstairs is a large bedroom with pullout couch, bath (all bedrooms have en suite). If someone has kids along, this will be their room for sure. There is a smaller bedroom with two double beds, a nice comfortable easy chair and bathroom. The last bedroom had a double bed and even it shrinks the room. The TV hangs on the wall and if you angle it to watch from bed, chances are you're going to bonk your head on it if you don't swing it back against the wall on the way out each day. The bathroom was fine, bath with divert-er, water closet and lavatory. The space heater helped cut the steam and was handy. I guess you can figure out where I ended up. This is the perfect room for one person to stay. My wife and I were cramped.
Another nice feature of this home is the Dry Sauna on the lower floor. Unfortunately we were so busy we didn't utilize it. Maybe next time. Each room had adequate dressers. The closet in the small room is even smaller as half of it is locked out for owners use. I wonder why they didn't pick a larger closet to take half away, but I never would have noticed if I wasn't in that room, so if you stay here, put the singles in here.
The hotel staff were great, just great. I locked the keys in our rental and within minutes the valet had the local security officer up with wire thingamabob helping us in, free of charge, all smiles. Every interaction I had was the same way, very nice to be in an area where people really enjoy their jobs and interact with visitors in such a positive way.
The dedicated shuttle to the Beaver Creek ski area does loops every fifteen or thirty minutes. I don't know which, as we only skied Beaver Creek once in our stay. There is public transportation to Vail, but I wouldn't consider it unless you are a veteran public transportation user. We drove and parked at Vail in the considerable but quickly filled parking garage. I would highly recommend going at least an hour before the lifts open, find a coffee shop and watch the people sweating that had to walk with their gear for three-quarters of a mile because the garage was full. Don't let that be you!
Overall our stay at The Charter in the beautiful unit was quite nice, super expensive, but fun.

This was our fifth stay at The Charter and it is comforting to see that it is still living up to its excellent standards. From the moment we arrived the service was outstanding in every way. We requested the same unit that we had stayed in the past and were informed at the time of the reservation that if possible we could use that unit. As it turned out that unit was occupied so we were upgraded to a magnificent penthouse unit that was way way over the top. A very nice gesture on the part of the management. We received particularly excellent service at the ski shop
and the bell staff as well. The great skiing at Beaver Creek was enhanced by our stay at this fine property!

Our one bedroom condo was GREAT and had a wood-burning fireplace! What a great location, staff, food and drinks! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend The Charter for business and leisure travel!

The Charter is a very good place to fo with the Family in Beaver Creek. Very well mantained, good location and service, great restaurant. If I were to go alone, with friends or with my wife alone, I would choose a place in the Village. I would recomend The Charter.
