“Loved everything about this hotel and the resort..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2009

We have reccently spent 14 days at this hotel booked through Ski Independance. The service was excellent, and the staff very courteous. Good locatiojn for shops, supermarket and restau which were all within a 5 minute walk. The lobby area has a nice relaxing feel to it, open fireplace and comfortable sofas and a bar area. The restaurant did a nice breakfast and there was also a deli on-site. The ski valet service was excellent, very nice group of guys, they unpack your skis/boots and hold them there for you. Each day you collect your boots and they place your skis outside ready for you to go. Then at the end of day, they put them all back. On our departure they packed the skis boots back into their carriers for us. The gondola outside the hotel takes you across the river to the first chairlift which then takes you up to the slopes. You can ski back down to get back onto the gondola for your return journey via 'Leave the Beav'. There are three hot tubs and salt water swimming pool outside, with views of the mountain, plus a good gym and a spa. Buses to Vail (ECO -Transit) and Beavercreek stop outside. $10 return to Vail. We had a studi suite which was big enough for us two. It had a little kitchenette with all amenities, a large bathroom and decent sixe living/sleeping area, with 32inch LCD television and gas fire. We also had a balcony. The room was very comfortable and clean. Free internet in the room for guests.
The ski area of Beavercreek was better than we expected, nice long tree-lined runs, minimum queue and again excellent customer service on the slopes both from the staff in the mountain restaurants and the ski hosts. Nicely groomed blues and greens, a good resort for beginners and intermediates. I would also recommend the Nordic centre, fabulous service very thorough. It is next to Strawberry Express lift. We went snow shoeing and the scenery on the prepared trails (McCoy Park) was beautiful.
We certainly can't wait to return to this hotel and resort in the future, we had a fabulous time.

“Wonderful Hotel, wonderful service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2009

Loved the location, the ski valet service, the pool, the spa, the general comfort and layout of the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly in every area.
We had a single room for a family of 4 which was well set out with good amenities, but too small for parents and 6 and 10 year old. Next time we'll get a one bedroom suite.
Great Hotel, and thoroughly recommended.

“Fantastic Winter Resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2009

My family (myself, husband daughters 10 and 6) stayed the the Westin RF February 14-21. From our arrival to departure the service was top notch. From the front desk offering an upgraded room (#924 one bedroom deluxe suite) to the ski valet service, you could not ask for anything more. Getting to the slopes was effortless. The ski valet hands you your boots and places skiis and poles outside 20 paces from the gondola. The spa was great and the saline, infinity edge spas were to die for. We even spotted a stag and a deer while enjoying our soak. Our site had 180 degree views from the top floor and was very large with an office space off the master bedroom. The only bad thing was that the room service food was awful. The $25 cheese platter came with about 1oz of cheese total that was rancid and no crackers or bread. I did mention it to the concierge to look into. Our daughters attended the Kids Club two days and loved it. Margie Sheppard was one of the counselors and the kids loved her. We tried the restaurant, however, the service was terrible and they were not even busy. I called over the manager and had her wait on us and she waived most of our meal. Hopefully they will work out the kinks with room service and the restaurant. You will love this place.

“Beautiful Property!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2009

Stayed 5 nights for annual girlfriends getaway in February. The hotel and property are beautiful! Our room was awesome (we had a suite with separate bedroom and full kitchen. Used the kitchen for relaxing after skiing all day. The food offerings at the Avondale Market on the property were the best. We were tired so we picked up a pizza and cesar salads for dinner. The food at the market is prepared by the restaurant on site and it was 100%! It was great to have the market to pick up a brownie or a breakfast item. The service with free ski storage was awesome. Great and so easy ski in and ski out with the gondola so close. We both had a massage one afternoon. The spa is top notch. It was nice to relax outside as well with a glass of wine. I would go back in a heartbeat. Note they add a service charge $20 per day for use of the workout room, pool, etc. (an additional expense we didn't realize until check out day). We walked to Mexican restaurant with no problem one night as we didn't have a car and ate at the on-site restaurant for lunch our last day. Again, the food was wonderful! Go for lunch if you get a chance.

“Great Location, Beautiful Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2009

Stayed five nights. Selected the hotel primarily for it's "ski in/ski out" access to BC mountain. The gondola is very easy to walk to and it puts you at the ticket office and Lower BC Express lift at BC Landing. The ski valet was super service-oriented. The room was nice - stayed in a King suite with a view overlooking the front of the hotel. The hotel is across the street from Avon Station which is where you can catch the free shuttles within Avon, shuttle to/from BC in the mornings and afternoons and the paid ECO transit buses that can take you to/from Vail and EGE. The Westin offers a free evening shuttle to/from BC. You really don't need a car if you plan to stay at the Westin unless you want to check out restaurants in nearby Edwards, Eagle, or Eagle-Vail. The hot tubs were a relaxing comfort after a full day of skiing. The business center offers free internet access where you can also print boarding passes. The hotel does permit dogs, as we saw a lot of them wandering in the lobby on leashes. If you like dogs, it's no biggy. I would highly recommend the hotel.
