We pulled in to Yucca Valley early morning Sunday in Feb 08, feeling hungry for some good chow. Carrows hit the spot. I ordered the Power Breakfast with two eggs, crisp bacon and 1/2 waffle ($5.49) and my husband ordered the Steak and Eggs with 1/2 lb top sirloin and two eggs and a choice of hash browns or potatoes, and biscuit, toast or muffin (he went with the hash browns and biscuit). Everything was superb. The waffle came topped with whipped cream and strawberries and the steak (ordered rare) was melt-in-the-mouth (with a little piece of gristle) yummy, encrusted with sea salt and black pepper. We decided to go back for dinner and it did not dissapoint. I had the Top Sirloin Steak with vegetables, substituting the french fries or rice with salad instead, and picked the choice corn bread over garlic cheese bread ($10.99). My husband ordered Shrimp Asian Salad, a huge portion of mixed salad greens and crisp water chestnuts tossed in a sweet sesame dressing and topped generously with large shrimp ($8.49). Came with garlic cheese toast, which was okay. Suggest asking for the salad dressing on the side unless you like it sweet. What a great dining experience. We highly recommend this place.
