We dined at Ad Hoc on October 28, 2007 and that evening's choice was a beet and greens salad, chicken and halibut w/ vegetables, a cheese plate, and beignets for dessert.
As the previous reviewer wrote, this is something I could easily have made. The salad was a very simple tossed salad, the chicken had a nice flavor but tasted similar to ones I had roasted, the halibut had no seasoning, the veggies were simple steamed green beans. The cheese plate was one piece of forgettable cheese. The beignets are really just doughnuts.
If I went again, I would wait until the menu was posted and then decide to eat there or not. Obviously, a lot of people canceled our night as many tables were empty and although we had a reservation they didn't even ask our name when we walked in.
