The display case is out of a magazine. Everything tasted as good as it looks. A must visit for every foodie passing through.

“Sweet!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

Bakery the sweetest deal in town. Get there early or you're out of luck. The macaroons are superb (and we don't normally like them), and they had the same delicious shortbread cookies that The French Laundry had sent us of with in gift tins the night before. Pack an assortment for your travels... they last well.

“Great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

We have a tendency to out to restaurants in Yountville and the rest of the valley but never order dessert - we always go to Bouchon Bakery for dessert.

“Oh yes I did”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

The Oh No You Didn'ts were crazy good. If you can imagine taking a beautiful French macaroon and covering it in chocolate. Wow. We had the caramel and sea salt macaroon. Also came back and tried the buns stuffed with pork belly. Really good as well.

“Cliches aside, this really is a taste of France in Napa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Bouchon is the tastiest, most authentic French food I have had outside of France. I used to live in France, so I'm insufferably picky when it comes to French restaurants. Eat at Bouchon. Eat at Bouchon!

It is less expensive, less crowded, and easier to get a reservation for lunch. Service is just what it's supposed to be -- attentive without hovering and fully informed about the menu and the wine list. It can be a little loud due to the high ceilings and hard surfaces, but somehow it still feels romantic and charming, even at 1pm.

The wine list is a thing of beauty. It's well-curated not just with fancy, expensive wines, but with more reasonably-priced offerings, glasses, and splits. In France, you don't need to spend a fortune to enjoy a good wine. While you are paying Napa pricing, they make a real effort to give good selection at a decent (Napa) price.

The food is out of this world. Really, I don't want to waste your time trying to describe it. Vegetarian or carnivore, nibbler or gourmand, you will find your joy in the menu at Bouchon.

Go. Just go.
