“Great place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

This was our second stay at this hotel The customer service is amazing. The rooms are older but very clean, nice size, very comfortable beds and a good size big bathroom. The property itself is nicely manicured and the complimentary daily breakfast is outstanding! You also have the use of the spa at the Villagio.

This hotel is the best find! I have stayed here before and absolutely love it. I recently stayed on Sunday because I had friends in town and we were celebrating a birthday. As soon as I left on Monday morning, I knew I needed to write a review immediately.

The highlights: Great location. You can walk to some of the best restaurants in the country ie; French Laundry, Bottega, Buchon,etc.. Rooms are luxury with fireplace (they leave a duraflame for you), incredible bedding, Jacuzzi tub and 4 star amenities. We were greeted with a complimentary bottle of chardonnay and because it was my friends birthday, they left an additional complimentary bottle of sparkling wine! The property is cozy, clean, rustic and has a wonderful pool with the best loungers. The complimentary tea service at 4pm daily with a large selection of finger sandwiches, scones, pastries and others items- all are homemade and believe me when I say such a treat when you come back after wine tasting! The complimentary champagne breakfast in the morning is a huge perk including omelette station, fresh fruits a variety of additional entrees and small plates that are made with the freshest ingredients. Even their bread is delivered fresh from a bakery down the street. I am in the food industry in San Francisco and particular about the ingredients. This place just does it right. The staff is so accommodating and so friendly. You just look around and see smiles everywhere! Jeff is the Manager and his service is exceptional. This really is a must if you are visiting Napa, Sonoma, St Helena or Yountville. You will be very happy with your stay.

Side note: There were 3 of us girls and we felt like we had plenty of room with two queen beds. Rooms are spacious.

Room Tip: 803 is a great room

Our second trip to this lovely facility was not a disappointment!

The grounds are lovely, the suites well appointed, the staff always helpful...a great location!
Lovely breakfast with everything imaginable as well as an afternoon tea.

You can't go wrong staying at this special inn!

Room Tip: ask for a room facing inside the grounds where you can see the lovely streams and landscaping more

Loved this property. Will be sure to stay for more than one night the next time we are in Napa. The room was great, the staff was great and the morning brunch complete with an omelette station was a great way to start off the day! We will def. be returning here one day.

We've been staying in this hotel for 1 night only, but I can definitely say it was wonderful!!! Awesome location, friendly stuff and gorgeous room with huge bathroom, cozy fireplace and even private patio. We had great deal with buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and complimentary bottle of wine and it was awesome vacation!!!

We splurged on the Vintage Inn for our first trip as a couple. We found a good deal months in advance and planned the rest of our vacation around the cheapest available dates. The choice seemed a bit silly while we were planning, but it was well worth it! We wished we could have stayed longer!

The property was terrific and the room, even the cheapest one, was grand! Gorgeous marble bathrooms, private patio, and fireplace with easy start logs. We cannot rave enough about the champagne breakfast. Our judgement may have been clouded by the endless supply of Mumm Champagne, but it was delicious! We will probably compare every hotel breakfast to the Vintage's for the rest of our lives or until we find something that compares!

The grounds are peaceful and quiet. You might see other guests around the property, but there's no sign of them once you're tucked away in your quiet, breezy room. The location is superb, walking distance to all of the good restaurants.

The only downside to staying at the Vintage is having to leave each day to tour the region!

We have been returning to the Vintage Inn in Yountville (Napa Valley) for about 18 years. Our frequent visits to the Vintage Inn are for two reasons: 1). It is a terrific property. Patterned after a quiet French country inn, it is a property with about 5 or 6 separate buildings each with two floors and with 4-8 rooms in each building. It is located in a quiet setting and each room has a fire place and very modern bathroom( 2 sinks, shower/tub with jacuzzi in the tub). Rooms have either a king or two double beds. Great open breakfasts with omelet station. Afternoon tea between 3-5PM. Heated outdoor pool can (theoretically) be used year round. The staff is outstanding---extremely polite and very helpful. The concierge can help to get you into The French Laundry if you give her more than 2 months notice and if you don't mind spending $600-1000 for a 4+ hour dinner(you should do it once in your life).
2. It is a great location. Napa Valley is 26 miles long with outstanding vineyards along the entire length. Yountville is a central location which makes any distance generally within easy reach. Although there are outstanding properties at either end of the valley (Napa City in the south/Calistoga in the north), staying at either end of the valley can make getting to some vineyards more of a problem.
The Vintage Inn is a great place to go with your soul mate or with friends. After a terrific day wine tasting, there is nothing more relaxing than chilling out at The Vintage with late afternoon tea followed by a nap in preparation for spending a wonderful dinner in "the Valley".

Room Tip: Quieter rooms are located in the inner courtyard. Less expensive rooms are located closer to the roa...
