“Top hotel for a relaxing week-end”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

Just love this place! My daughter and I spent a week-end there and the atmosphere is soo relaxing. Not to mention the spa treatment and the staff, everything perfect. We have been there before and will for sure come back next time I go to San Fransisco.

You will not be disappointed! The Vintage Inn is the place to stay in the Napa Valley. It is beautiful and service is wonderful. Pricey, but well worth it! Great gourmet breakfast and afternoon treats. Easy walk to great restaurants. Very helpful concierge.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are quiet, especially facing the courtyard.

I wasnt too overwhelmed by our room....there was one armoire (small) in bathroom for storage.....nothing else. Didn't make sense. Also, stepping into the bathtub was quite dangerous. The tubs are old jetted style and you have to step over the side and over the handrail to get in.....very dangerous. There was one full length mirror on inside of armoire door - good luck seeing your entire image, and there was absolutely no other mirror except for one I bathroom....so if you want to get ready while your husband showers you will have to be in bathroom with him. Now,with that said, it was a beautiful place with a very delicious breakfast, attentive staff and great location. I just feel it is a bit outdated.

Room Tip: There are beautiful views of mountain from your porch if you are facing highway.

We had a king bed downstairs (so not one of the upstairs rooms with vaulted ceilings

Pros:

-Excellent location - good base for exploring wine country (much better than Napa) and tons of great restaurants nearby
-Fantastic brunch with omelet and waffle stations, mimosas and bloody marys, etc
-Great room - bedding was very nice, towels were soft, working fireplace with log was great, wine in room. Style of "french country inn" was nicer than expected
-Pretty good pool area - heated pool and hot tub on this property (we didn't make it to spa at villago although you get free use there too) was a small area but nice
-Quiet - didn't notice any noise as other reviews have mentioned, but we weren't in room facing road
-Service at front desk and pool was efficient and friendly.

Cons:

-Like every other hotel in Napa area can be expensive. Look for deals on travel websites

Overall we loved our stay and would highly recommend and return

A great location for exploring wine country, as everything is pretty close and the town has some excellent restaurants (Redd, Bottega) and V Marketplace (next door) that you can walk to from the hotel. The room was very well appointed - nice fireplace - big tub with jets. The breakfast that is included is top notch and offers plenty of options including an omelet station and plenty of champagne too with indoor and outdoor seating. All the hotels in the area are expensive and having the excellent breakfast brings very good value to the overall stay. Staff was very nice, too. You can use the spas at their sister property, the Villagio, which we did not (too busy at vineyards).

We thoroughly enjoyed the Vintage Inn. The rooms were large and well equipped. They had wood burning fireplaces and a bottle of wine on check in. The bathrooms were large and very nice. The grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was huge and delicious. They even had a tub of complimentary water. This seems like a small thing but after recently being charged $ 4 for this at another hotel, I was pleased. The town of Yountville is charming and has lots of excellent restaurants to walk to and some nice shopping.

Vintage Inn delivers on every level. Inner courtyard king room accommodation was so comfortable - even had my favorite : nespresso machine! in addition to coffee maker AND divine champagne breakfast in lobby! Staff is anxious to please. Walking around town and hiking beyond is wonderful. Desk attendants and concierge can suggest whatever you desire. Stayed here to be walking distance to our French Laundry dinner but also walked to several other great eateries.....Bouchon. Lucy, Bottarga !

Room Tip: I agree with other reviews that ours was the most special and quietest.
