“Perfect position”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

We stayed here for 4 nights so we could dine at The French Laundry and tour Napa vineyards. Bordeaux lodge is just 50 metres from the laundry and the town of Yountville is lovely and ideally situated in the middle of the Napa. the rooms are large , beautifully clean and the breakfasts a great way to start the day. Would definitely stay here again.

We came to Napa for the starred restaurants and needed a place to crash for the night. At USD200+ a night, this place was one of the cheapest in the hood, however I guess you also get what you pay for. The toilet and room was somewhat dated, but the thing which made us decide never to return was the level of cleanliness of the room. My husband has very sensitive skin, and the second he sat on the bed, his skin started itching. He ended up sleeping in his full winter attire that night for fear of touching the sheets or the bedcover. Also, as we only managed to secure a second floor room, managing the spiral stairs can be quite a feat if you have heavy luggage to handle. Take note also that the heating system did not work so well; some parts of the room warmed up whilst others like the toilet stayed frightfully cold, so if you were to go during the frigid winter months, showering might be a pipe dream. Thankfully, breakfast was really delicious so we ended that leg of our trip on a slightly better note than it should have been.

Near perfect locationin Yountville. Several truly outstanding restaurants within easy walking distance. The breakfast is quite good and rooms are clean if somewhat dated. Staff is good and owner is pleasant if you make effort to know her.

The position is not bad if you want to stay in this unreal village in Napa BUT the price is not worth the quality and service you get. The room has old furniture and relative smell, the landlady who receive you is asleep and not show you the room and the service they offer (which one?), breakfast is medium and if you need to leave early in the morning they don't prepare either a packet lunch or offer to prepare. There is a whirpool closed and I have paid more than 200$ plus taxes a night so 490$ in total for 2 night for that... It's the service that makes the difference and worth that price...

We have stayed at a lot of B&B's and this one goes down as our worst experience. The room was okay but the service and the breakfast were a disappointment. We would not recommend this to anyone. We communicated our food allergies in advance and they were not taken into consideration when the breakfasts. The manager does not do a good job of engaging with her guests - to the point of being almost rude. We felt like we were a bother to her by just being there.

Excellent small (ten rooms) Bed & Breakfast in beautiful Yountville. Easy walk to numerous outstanding restaurants and shopping including the French Laundry. Located in the heart of Napa Valley. Breakfast of eggs, cereals, rolls, coffee, juices is outstanding. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The room in the Tower is the best.

Nice rooms, comfortable, nicely decorated. Quiet and relaxing place in the the heart of Yountville. Breakfast was delicious, but the common room was small for the # of people, some had to wait for a place at the common table. Good value for the area. No refrig. in room but a common one in the lobby for guest use. Hot tub was off for the season

Room Tip: All rooms seemed fine. No elevator to 2nd floor.
