“Awesome experience!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

I just returned home from an incredible stay at villagio inn and spa. I never write a review but how could you not. From everything to the kind professional staff, beautiful rooms with fireplace, complimentary bottle of white wine and avian water, gourmet champagne breakfast and light finger food snacks mid afternoon to beautiful spa, access to gym and free parking. It was just a wonderful hotel with so many perks and amenities and great location. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that likes to be pampered and is looking for a relaxing, stress free experience.

This place was fantastic. We arrived just before 5pm after a hard day of wine tasting :-). The check in process was a breeze with friendly and helpful staff. We got a parking bay just behind our hotel room which made things much easier. The room was spectacular and reminded me of Florence with its Tuscan feel. We received a chilled bottle of Chardonnay on arrival to the room which was a nice touch. There was complimentary high tea in the afternoon which was delicious with a great choice of snacks. Champagne breakfast was included the next day with every food choice available. The omelette station was excellent. Another great feature of the hotel is that all the best restaurants are literally a 2 minute walk away. Look nowhere else for accommodation in the Napa region, you will not be disappointed with the Villagio. We will be back..

We enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and comfortable, the "free breakfast" was ok. It's not really free, you pay for through your nightly room charge. There are no places open for breakfast in Yountville anyway so it was convenient. The grounds are nice with walking distance to great restaurant's. I thought the room charge to be on the high side for a Motel, you will hear the trucks and cars cruising down the Hwy. The pool area is nice, but It was too chilly to enjoy the pool area in December. The fireplace in the room is just for the fireplace effect not heat, they will provide you with a tiny Duraflame Log which is ok. The Ac unit we had was noisy and when cycling would wake you up a few times a night. Some of the other reviews about this place, make me laugh and are very well scripted.

Here's one "The room was spacious, very clean and sumptuous"
Really !! Seriously !!

For the price this hotel is a steal!!!! When on vacation January 1-3, 2014 with my big family and I couldn't tell you how happy was with my choice. The area is beautiful with lush garden and fountain. The service is excellent and friendly. The room was spacious, very clean and sumptuous. Flat TV, fire place. bathroom heather and even a Nexpresso coffee machine. And after alll that the full breakfast is included with your paid room along with a bottle wine.

I loved this hotel!
We have been to Napa and Yountville many times, but usually day trips as my cousin lives not too far away. This time we decided to overnight it so everyone could wine and dine properly.
BEST choice we could have made. Check in was smooth and easy, and we got our rooms quickly. The room itself was spacious and very comfortable with a super comfy bed and great fireplace.

Cute little happy hour wine tasting and snacks in the lobby from 5-7 was a nice touch!

I had written the hotel prior to arriving that it was my husband's birthday, and they put a bottle of champagne in the room with a great handwritten birthday wish- WONDERFUL touch!

It is close to great restaurants and across from Bistro Jeanty where we had dinner.

The only two reasons I did not award 5 stars?
1. very dark at check in and room was hard to find with very little signage and lighting
2. insane loud heating in the bedroom that actually woke us a few times

Overall? Can't wait to return!

After spending time at the Vintage Inn my wife and I decided to try their first property, Villagio Inn and Spa. We loved it. The room had a fireplace, big spacious whirlpool tub and a generous lemon tree on our patio. Being right in the middle of all things Napa, our forays to wineries was so easy. We stayed on a first floor suite this time. I have to say that the Vintage Inn was more personable we recalled. The staff at Villagio was a bit hurried, however, this was a rush time with the coming of a new year. So, we forgive the impersonality of our visit. The room staff was exceptional and we would most definetly stay at Villagio again because of them. At a time less hurried time, say harvest time maybe?

Room Tip: The first floor rooms are great for the winter, however, during the spring, summer and fall you may...

Stayed at Villagio Inn during Xmas / NYE holiday week & it was an interesting visit

Our room was set against the parking lot & in hindsight, we felt we got the better end of the deal b/c we were sheltered from the people frolicking all night, in the 24hr heated pool & likewise from noisy traffic, had we been facing the main road

Rooms were extremely spacious & had coffee makers, mini-fridge & FREE WiFi; loved the bathroom setup w/ the big vanity table & large tub w/ tons of hot water - plus L'Occitane bath products rule! Unfortunately beds & pillows were too soft, resulting in backaches every night

TV channels were standard w/ no movie channels provided.....and hate to be all fuddy-duddy but after full days of wine tasting & huge dinners, we just wanted to zone out to some good tv - which in our definition does NOT entail the reality shows which permeate all the standard channels. Throw us some HBO for crying out loud!

So instead, we spent our evenings watching their "Turndown Service" programming of classical music set to a slide show of the Impressionists

Guests are allotted 1 fire-log per night & even though it's a Duralog & will burn for a couple of hours, it was still a bit silly to see the 1 lonely log in the basket.......and this is all you get it. Plus, we were forgotten 1 night but had a late concert so wouldn't have used it anyway..... but just for the record here.....

Then, there's breakfast. It's a madhouse. The buffet is well-stocked & offers a wide variety from fruit & porridge to quiches & hash. They also offer an omelet bar during the week then both omelet & waffle bars during the weekend

The insanity, is that they do not offer enough seating for all their guests, so each morning we had to go through the exercise of stalking tables then pouncing before someone else snagged it & it was extremely cutthroat

If you're charging these kinds of prices & breakfast is included, one would expect seating to also be included & I don't mean outdoor seating. Those heat lamps are pathetic - they may provide a modicum of warmth for people but they do nothing to keep your food warm & who wants a cold omelet?

But have to say, the high point of our table-snagging victory, was the entertainment by all the pretentious conversations from the tables around us, as breakfast guests tried to 1-up each other on all the famous people they knew; alllll the wealth they had from allllll their business savvy; all the ginormous diamonds they bought during ALLLLL their worldly travels & the $5000 dinners they had scheduled for that very night. You can't make this stuff up!

We just looked at each other in our Old Navy fleeces & smiled

So for the money, we'll look at different accommodations for our next visit. Your facility was okay & definitely had its good & not so good qualities but looking at the grand picture overall, have to say we've experienced better

Room Tip: Get a room facing the parking lot - they're quiet
