“perfect location to plan wine tastings in Napa Valley”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

The Hotel in a Toscanian style is located right at the entrance of Yountville on the main road. All rooms are on floor level distributed around the hotel reception building. Our room was very spacious with lots of closet space, a very comfortable kingsize bed in front of a chimney (we had a 3 hours-burning log and a bottle of Chardonnay in the room), The room was well maintaned and clean, a bit dark, though.
The use of the hot tub in the Spa was complimentary, the prices for treatments/massages seemed very overpriced, a 3 1/2 hours couple massage with treatment for 1, 250 Dollars?! The breakfast buffet is served in the reception area of the hotel, there is definitely not enough space to acommodate all guests who come for breakfast, they need the doble amount of tables and chairs, it was very crowded, what is a shame because the breakfast buffet itself was of a very good quality, a big variety of fresh fruits, nicely cut and presented, the pastry was fresh and delicious, healthy choices food etc., there is also a station outside (bit chilly in December, when you have to wait in line for your order) where they prepare omlettes etc. on request. The coffee station a bit dissapointing for European coffee tastes, the coffee was very weak. Check in and check out was very quick.
The location of the hotel is perfect to start a wine tasting tour, The Champagne Chandon is right behind the hotel for example, other wineries are along the main road going up.

Room Tip: Have in mind that you have to walk outside from your room to the breakfast area, some rooms are furt...

The staff at the Villagio go above and beyond for their guest. My mom took me to Napa for my 21st birthday vacation and it was amazing. Upon arrival we were greeted and informed about complimentary breakfast, tea, & wine tasting...literally all included with your pay per night! By FAR the best hotel breakfast I have ever seen....eat at the hotel every morning you will not get tired of it...omelet bar, waffle bar, oatmeal, ceareal, scones, pastries, etc and bottomless mimosas. Tea consisted of tea, hot coco, sandwiches, scones, etc. And at wine tasting you get wine, olives, cheese, meats, etc. All rooms get a complimentary bottle of wine waiting on you. And as a special birthday surprise the staff delivered cake pops and champagne and a sweet card our first night! So thoughtful and attentive to detail. The hotel is in a great location - you must try bouchon bakery, redd restaurant and pacific blue. Also walking distance from many wineries (perfect). My favorites on Cali St were ma(i)sonry & girad. Ma(i)sonry is outdoor lounge chairs and a fire...very private and so relaxing. Girard is just the opposite - stand at the bar and you will learn SO MUCH about wine - Rick was very helpful to us.

As far as the actual rooms/accommodations... comfy down bedding, l'occtaine products, nesspresso machine & regular coffee machine, refrigerator, TV, cable, wireless internet, heated pool...all the bells and whistles you could hope for

Here is a tip if you are buying lots of wine to travel with- purchase a box from a winery (we got ours from beringer) and the hotel will ship for you, also the yountville post office is literally across the street & they probably have great options as well

I cannot rave enough about this hotel.....also it is BEYOND BEAUTIFUL.

Room Tip: Request a second floor to get a patio/balcony...perfect to read on in the morning!

An incredible Inn and probably the best spa in Napa Valley. We stayed for two days over Christmas. The hotel is very conveniently located to many major wineries and within walking distance of several good restaurants. The rooms are good size with fireplace, and balcony or patio. Upstairs rooms have cathedral ceilings. Rooms are generally quiet with little outside noise. the grounds and rooms are well maintained and clean. While there is no on site restaurant, the hotel does offers very tasty 24 hour room service but from a limited menu. The Champagne breakfast buffet is very nice with eggs cooked to order (except poached) , waffles, and an incredible spread of fruit, cheese, cereals, oatmeal, variety of bread, etc. however the room breakfast is served has limited seating and can be very crowded. The well equipped spa is gender separated and has both a wet and dry sauna, European showers, and a jacuzzi. We would definately go back.

Bed was superbly comfortable, room was large, cozy and well designed. Breakfast was heavenly. (I particularly recommend the omelet bar and the bread pudding with creme anglaise.) Delightful pool and hot tub. Wonderful spa.
Great restaurants are just across the street.
I will return for sure!

Summary
Pros: Room, Fab Pool and Spa, Great Complimentary Breakfast, Well manicured grounds, good service, walking distance to Bouchon Bakery, and French Laundry
Cons: No offer of bell hop service at check in.

Had a fantastic stay at Villagio for two nights. The room was large had a very comfortable bed and large living space. The room had an empty refrigerator which was helpful. The bathroom was large as well.

The biggest bonus for this facility is its free breakfast. The food was excellent and had a lot of variety. Free champagne and bloody Marys as well.

Great stay.

We were given the opportunity recently to stay for a company holiday gathering. The rooms were spacious and quiet. The bed was luxurious and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and in town which is the best part of this facility.

Restaurants within a stones throw and great shopping. Overall we had a very nice experience. The Sunday brunch was excellent including the omelet station. The catered event food was good but, not spectacular. The banquet rooms were cozy and a wonderful way to spend a holiday evening with business associates.

Overall I would recommend for the convenience. We did not experience the spa or pool or any other spa treatments so, we are not able to comment on those ammenities

Lovely landscaping, great buffet breakfast with champagne and omelets by Tony, wonderful tea buffet in afternoon. Patios or balcony, and fireplace. Extra treat for the occasion of my birthday. Dining terrace looks over a small vineyard next door which had gorgeous autumn colors, and there is a brief trail for a nice walk. Can walk to everything in Yountville, so no need to drive for dinner. Very similar to The VIntage Inn except for the spa (built earlier by the same developer, I believe.). I could not hear any road traffic and would definitely have noticed. Enjoyed walking throughout the property because the gardens were so lovely, so didn't mind any small distance to the reception/dining area or parking lot, even though it was raining the day we left. (An umbrella is provided in the room.)
