“mini Club Med”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Truly relaxing way to start to a day of wine tasting with a champagne (Mumm) breakfast that offered a variety of entries, pastries, cheeses, fruit, made to order omelets and espresso coffee. Staff and guests so pleasant and low key, always smiling; reminded me of Club Med sans water skiing. Pool is lovely, surrounded by palms and billowing shade tents. Love that Bistro Jeanty is across the street. In room nespresso machine was fun for decaf nightcap or morning kick start. And staff thoughtfully provided chilled cream in our refrigerator and chilled bottled water in lobby, nice touch. Spa was wonderful too; recommend scheduling early on check-in day to start your vacation before you unpack.

Yountville is quaint and beautiful. This hotel is ideally located right in the center of town and offers pristine grounds, adequate rooms and solid service. It is not over-the top luxury but it is VERY nice.

This is an old hotel feel. Rooms are average size in a motor lodge type feel.
It rained one day and for a business meeting this required a long walk outside uncovered in rain.
Not a convention or resort hotel.
Breakfast is excellent and service is very good .

This Inn and Spa is motel like in that it has outdoor walkways which makes for a lot of noise. Stay upstairs because you can hear everything above you if you stay downstairs. The rooms are very nice. Receiving a glass of champagne on arrival and a bottle of wine in your room is a plus. The complimentary afternoon tea, evening hors d'oeuvres and champagne brunch really make the stay. The pool area is very nice especially if a cabana is available. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. It's not the Ritz Carlton so I'm not sure why the prices are so high.

Room Tip: Only stay upstairs because you'll hear all of the noise of the people above you otherwise.

This was my third stay. Amazing breakfast. Great spa. Great landscaping. Rooms are large but a bit dark and lack character (3 white plates on the wall) they could do better for the price. Get an upstairs room away from freeway. The soundproofing between floors is very bad. Great service. Can walk everywhere from here, restaurants, etc So overall an enjoyable indulgence and I'll be back on occasion.

Stayed in an inner courtyard King and, aside from the thumping of the couple upstairs loved, loved, LOVED the room. It is as it appears in the photographs. Location of your room is important, though. My room was near the spa and, while sitting on the patio, could see the parking lot in the distance near Bottega. This positioned the room far away from the highway traffic. The patio was private as there was no pathway running along it, so I could sit on the patio in a robe and drink coffee in the morning. There was a tiny bit of noise from Washington Street, especially in the early morning when deliveries were being made to the restaurants. But I am an early riser, so it wasn't an issue for me, but could be for someone else. However, I would definitely get the second floor next time as the stomping from the couple upstairs drove me to finally call the front desk. The property is lovely with enough beautiful landscaping to keep a dozen gardeners working full time.

The breakfast buffet with made to order omelets and waffles was superb and the mimosas were just the icing on the cake. The bartender will give you one "to go" if you want to take it back to your room. It is in a 16 ounce plastic cup! Might need a nap after that one. They make an awesome bloody mary as well. I was quite taken aback by the guy who came to breakfast in his pajamas and slippers and the guy who came to breakfast in short and NO shoes. One would think when you can afford to pay $650 a night, you have enough social grace to dress properly and put shoes on your feet when going to eat.

The pool and hot tub are great amenities as are the bali beds, which make a nice place for a siesta at 4:00 after touring wine county all day. The gals who work in the pool area are really sweet and will fetch a drink for you and make up your lounger with fresh towels. The front desk staff and the staff working the breakfast buffet and bar were all great, too.

The concierge was very helpful in the weeks leading up to my arrival with suggestions for winery tours. Thanks to her, I discovered Round Pond Olive Oil and (Biale) Black Chicken Zinfandel, two stops that I would not have made without her suggestion.

This inn is worthy of a repeat visit!

Room Tip: Inner courtyard, away from highway.

Beautiful old European style rooms with glass fireplaces and updated shower and bath area. Try to upgrade and pay the money to get upgraded to a room on the second level with a sitting room. The lobby area is very quaint and is very welcoming along with the friendly staff. Their daily breakfast is nicely prepared and very well done. We had a meeting and their meeting planner was fantastic. The meeting room along with the food and beverage was first class.

Room Tip: Request and pay to upgrade if possible to a larger room with the sitting room and updated bathroom.
