“A Great hotel when visiting the Californian wine area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

This was our first stop on our California trip. We have never been to the Napa wine district before and this hotel was recommended by friends. A lovely property set out in two buildings with a pool in the centre. Free car parking and surrounded by wonderful restaurants. One being The French Laundry (popular Chateaux Relais - look it up! - book at least 3 months ahead of your trip if you want to dine there).

We had a vineyard view king room - very large with comfortable king bed - quality linen. A balcony with a mesh door which allowed us to have the doors open all night (our preference to air conditioning) the area is very quiet and smart.

The pool is heated and was a lovely area. During the day there was pool service and adjacent to the pool was an outside seating area with a fire in the middle - fabulous!

There is a wine tasting in reception every day which is free and is a great idea to sample the local wine and also meet fellow hotel guests. Needless to say most guests attended the wine tasting. Excellent!

The staff are very welcoming, friendly and could not do enough to ensure that everything was just perfect.

A GREAT hotel to stay when visiting the area. Car parking is free.

Room Tip: I think that every room is this hotel is good and your only choice is your pocket. We were only her...

This was my first experience here and it was nothing short of a slice of heaven. The people were welcoming, friendly, and the room was excellent. The complementary wine, cheese, and brunch was top shelf. I got to know the staff and Zae, Bridget, Lacey, and Tanya were very amazing.

My husband and I travel to Napa a couple times a year and we normally stay elsewhere, but thought we'd try a new place. There were pro's and con's to this hotel and depending on what you're looking for, it may suit perfectly.
The pros: location location location! Right in Yountville made it and easy walk to the all the excellent reining and shopping. The room we stayed in was the Bella Vista suite and had a nice view of vineyards. They had a pillow menu to accommodate all sorts of 'neck needs'. The beds were good and the room was nicely appointed overall.
The cons: there was nobody available to help us with our bags or show us to our rooms... Just a map and a smile. The location is great for getting where you need to go, but it is right on the main highway so there is some road noise with that. The spa accommodations were minimal and although my therapist was very skilled, my husband was quite disappointed.... 'Deep tissue' is a relative term. The buffet breakfast was included, but for a town like this, they really need to step up their game to compete. There's simply too much competition to cut corners here. Overall we enjoyed the hotel, but I will try some other places before Id stay here again.

It was a shame to only spend one night here - we loved it. Great location, great room, great breakfast and great staff who can't do enough to help or provide for you. We wouldn't change a thing (and we've stayed in multiple hotels during this trip where that would not be the case)!

My wife and I stayed here in late March for one night. Despite the short stay, it was a very nice hotel and the town of Yountville is great. Free continental breakfast was good as well. Would stay here again.

Lovely room. Super comfy beds! Great bathroom with plenty of room. Nice size closet and ample drawer space. Wonderful breakfast included. Best cookies in the lobby and at turn down. Complimentary waters, to me it's the little things that really make the difference. No nickel and dime you, just a warm welcome and nice Amenities. If I have a complaint it would be outside access to rooms and close to highway, but I WILL stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful time

Room Tip: I always try for top floor!

The first impression I got was it looked like a Hacienda, it had an atmosphere of family run mansion. The reception area is very modest but welcoming. They have brewed Starbucks coffee and a selection of teas for the guests all day long and at 3pm, they have freshly baked cookies (peanut butter & chocolate chips) that are to die for. The rooms are spacious and impeccable. Parking is available at your doorstep. Complimentary champagne breakfast is served at the hall with al fresco & in dining from 7am. They have a selection of sumptuous breads, pastries, cereals, yogurts, cheeses and cold cuts. There is fresh waffle batter in a glasses and guests can make their own waffle. The service staff is constantly refilling the hot & cold dishes till breakfast service is over at 10am. The serene ambience of Napa completes the wholesome experience. I would love to stay again if I am back in the valley. Great place!
