The most impressive aspect of our experience was the help we got from the staff in their suggestions of places to visit and actually booking them for us. They even suggested/booked us into to a tour of an Olive Oil grove/processing plant. Except for Signorello, they were spot on in directing us to very memorable tours, expecially Del Dotto Caves/Winery and Swanson.

The property is the perfect place to chill out. Nestled next to a vineyard and with an idea pool and hot tub area, you couldn't ask for a more relaxing place. The fire pit at is nice to sit near on those often chilly evenings. Service is attentive and genuine. If you are looking for a pool attendent taking drink orders, then this will be a disappointment for you. Just bring your own beverages to the pool and you'll be happy. Continental breakfast definitely better than average and you can eat it on the patio or by the pool. Watch out for those hungry little birds that will come and pick at your food if you leave it unattended.

We will be booking there again for next July. Can't wait!

The staff and accommodations at the Napa Valley Lodge were superb. It is a place to go for that special occasion. Well worth the extra to stay. The location is perfect. Walking distance to downtown Yountville and close to the Silverado Trail for wine tasting. A real treat. Can't wait for another special occasion----Napa Valley Lodge is where we will stay!

Booked this hotel a week before July 4th weekend using our Triple A rate... averaged about $300 per night. Rooms are average-sized but well appointed. Bathroom is nice too. Our room was on the 2nd floor (there are only 2 floors), overlooking the courtyard & swimming pool, with views of the mountains in the background. Although you can see Highway 29 from the room and hear a bit of traffic, it isn't noisy or disturbing in any way. The courtyard is spacious and extremely well laid out with the pool, jacuzzi, lots of lounge chairs, patio tables too for breakfast, and a bocce ball court. The breakfast was good, with lots of pastries and fresh options -- nothing fancy but tasteful. Service was great... quietly performed but impeccable.

The other nice thing about this hotel is its location... .it's at one end of the street that runs through downtown. To get to the majority of the restaurants, it's a pleasant 10-15 minute walk, which is perfect after a delicious meal. We also rented bikes from a downtown shop and biked down Salono Road which runs parallel to the 29.

Four glorious nights in the Bella Vista suite had us so mellow, so pampered and so relaxed that we had to force ourselves to go out and visit the wineries in the area. The shower, with windows overlooking the vineyard, would hold a dozen people. The huge bed persuaded us to sleep 10 hours the night we arrived. The powerful jacuzzi, the champagne breakfast, the pool, the balcony for sipping wine while gazing at the vineyard -- perfection barely describes it all. Everyone went out of their way to make us happy, from calling two weeks ahead to see if we wanted restaurants or spa services booked (we did!), to quickly replenishing the mini-bar to immaculate housekeeping to the bottle of wine in our room in honor of my husband's birthday. I'd return in a minute.
