“A Personal Touch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2014

We had a great stay! Arrived at 2 pm and Bruce checked us in early and was very welcoming. We had a relaxing hour in front of the fireplace reading and drinking tea. Then, we had a restful night and woke up to a fresh pot of coffee, followed by a delicious homemade breakfast. This is a great property in a great location and I highly recommend it!!!

We visited with a group of friends over the holidays. It was wonderful. We all had our own rooms and place to spread out yet had a wonderful, comfortable area for coming together as a group. We were here a couple of years ago, under different management, and are now much more pleased with how the Inn is being run. Light years better experience. Within walking distance of a charming small downtown - Winters - with lots of opportunity to bike, hike and bird. Definitely will be returning.

This Bed and Breakfast in the Central Valley is a perfect launching spot for 4 seasons of outdoor activities. It's around the corner from historic downtown - The Palms music venue and restaurants. Winter birding in the several nearby wildlife refuges, warm weather cycling around the valley, and water sports at Lake Berryesa. The b/b has a comfortable sitting/living room around a hearth. 5 bedrooms and a loft. A Victorian feel. Art work that celebrates the agricultural tradition in the area. Lovely bath products. Good eats. Lemon, navel orange and kumquat trees shelter the house in its quiet neighborhood.

Room Tip: The de Winters Suite is handicap accessible driectly from the parking lot.

We rented the entire b&b for a week to visit our friend in the area. It was a wonderful experience. No breakfast needed, as we made our own, which was terrific. The kitchen amenities were great. The rooms were very clean and not overly fussy. Was so close to downtown Winters that we walked nearly everywhere.

We booked a night in the Abbey House Inn at the last minute in October 2013 and it was a very enjoyable stay. Winters was a great surprise. We were there to see Kim Richey perform at the Palms Playhouse. I love music and so we came specifically for that. There was a lovely main street with wonderful restaurants within walking distance from the Abbey House Inn. We enjoyed the music and the pizza we had and a good nights sleep. The only disappointment is that the Abbey Inn does not seem to have a Tv. Normally that would not be a big problem, but we arrived around 5:30pm and the MLB World Series was on and we could not find a tv to tune into the Red Sox - Cardinals game. There was a radio however and so we would at least listen to the game. The next morning we had an excellent breakfast. It was so big we could not eat until late that afternoon. I will not forget that breakfast for some time. The eggs bacon and homemade bread were excellent. Later that day we went hiking close by and to a winery and had a delightful experience. If you're in the area and love small towns, this one is worth checking out and the Abbey House Inn is a great choice. Its easy to skip on down to Napa and very reasonably priced. Thanks again to our host for a great experience.

A great bed and Breakfast, without the breakfast. They supplied fruit and a kitchen for breakfast, but you had to go elsewhere for a (man's) breakfast... and there are several good places to eat within walking distance in Winters. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Staff was very accomodating and it was was quiet and peacefiul. Highly recommended if what you really want is a place to rest, relax and have a quiet night.

Room Tip: Just remember you will haver to walk 5 minutes to get a real breakfast. One room is equipped for ha...
