I slept well at the Golden Pheasant Inn, and I was surprised at the lack of grass clippings. Also, I did not notice a lawn sprinkler in my room, nor was there a suspicious lack of mouldings. But the best thing about this place was that I did not suffer from an asthsma attack as a result of overzealous landscaping activity. All in all, I give it a big thumbs-up!

Our friends made our reservations as they were listed in the AAA book and requested to have rooms next to each other. When we arrived after our friends our room was nowhere near them. We went into our room and immediately smelled musty-wet odors. After using the restroom we saw that the toilet was leaking all over the floor. Went to the desk and was given a room 2 doors down, went in and smelled the same smell. We opened both doors to "air" it out and our son headed to the swimming pool only to find that the lawn surrounding the pool had been freshly cut and the clippings left. Our son being highly asthmatic went into an asthma attack. There was no way to the pool but through the cut grass which we tracked back into our room. While we were watching TV the sprinklers came on and came right into our room soaking the bed and chair. We jumped up and shut the door to find that the molding around the door was gone and the water came in under it!!! We complained to the management and was given $6.00 back off our bill!!! WOW!! We called Best Western when we got home and was given a $20.00 gift card from the Pheasant Inn. We WOULD NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.
