Like my title says, I just stayed 1 night to be ready for a trackday at Thunderhill Raceway, about 15minutes west of this hotel.
The hotel quality is sufficient for my needs; I needed a room, an air conditioning unit, a bed, shower, and a toilet. :)
Cleanliness was good. It's no 3-5 star hotel, but everything that needed to work, worked.
The breakfast was good. Again, I cannot complain about what's free. The breakfast simply consisted of cereal, fuits, yogurts, breads/bagels, a waffle making station, juice/coffee/teas, and the obligatory pastrie (muffin, tart, etc).
The hotel did have an ice-machine, which makes GREAT for those hot summer days.
The A/C unit was very strong and kept our room cool throughout the night. It is a window-unit, so the fan and compressor can get a little noisy, but we were so tired that it was not an issue.
Again, we stayed here to be close and rested up for a motorcycle trackday at Thunderhill Raceway. The price was relatively good. I believe we got the room for about $65 (all taxes and such costs included) for 1 night.
We left our motorcycles tied down on the trailer outside, and the surrounding area didn't look very bad. The front desk is 24hours, so that at least gave us a little bit of peace-at-mind (not a whole lot though).
I rated this 4/5, as it was above average, but not excellent. I'm not sure what else happens in Willows, CA, but $65/night is a little high for a rather quiet city.
To have a 5/5, I would have expected a lower rate, maybe around the lower-$50's.
None, they're all the same. I would request a lower-level room, just to avoid climbing stairs.
