“Great find in Willits Ca”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

While stopped in Williits for a cool drink we check Tripadvisor for motel reviews and found good reports on The Old West Inn. This place is great, drive around back and walk in to your room. It has a great grass area and patio to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Everyone from the staff (owners) to the guests were all super friendly. The room was clean, the bed was good, the internet worked well and the staff couldn't do enough for us. They gave me rags to wipe down the bike and trailer and ask numerous times if we needed anything and if the room was ok. This family of owners cares about their business and aim to please. 5 stars for a room for under $80.00 Well go back.

Room Tip: Call ahead we got the last room, they are very popular.

Thanks for writing such a nice review for us!

I think the success of this place really depends on the grassy courtyard area. When we first arrived here, there was a broken bench with 2 almost broken chairs with it, so we immediately got rid of those and put proper table and also a patio swing, if you are here to relax, why not do that a little more comfortably?

Our family is genuinely enthralled to receive such nice responses from so many guests, we live simply and courteously.

But thanks for taking some time and writing a little about us, we really appreciate it!
Have a good day ahead,
Management.

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Old West Inn! It is such a quaint place and makes one feel like he/she is truly stepping back in time! Because it is small, it is a lot easier to get personal attention and service if needed. The owners are very attentive to matters and do an excellent job in maintaining the inn. The rooms are very nice and include all needed amenities, including mini microwaves and refrigerators. We would not hesitate to recommend a stay at The Old West Inn!

Thanks for writing such a nice review for us!
We only have 19 rooms in total, so it does become fairly easy to get the maintenance done, due to the hefty time schedule and also very few members that operate this place, all the small details could be given a proper attention.

We love this place as much as the next person and its something we can call it our home too, so its not always business to us, and which is why we have a friendlier approach to everything here.

But thanks for taking some time and writing a little about us, we really appreciate it!

My husband and I stayed here on July 10, 2013 in Room 20, "The Jail." We paid $68 including tax and with a AAA discount--we wish all motel rooms would be like this one for this rate. We have NO complaints--the king bed was comfortable enough, room was clean, air was cold, water was hot, etc. The jail theme was cheesy cool--the sheets were black and white striped and the bed frame looked like jail bars. There was also a day bed in the room--it fit nicely in the room as the room was large anyway. There were a few nice details that I noticed--digital clock had large numbers (didn't need my glasses to see it), waste baskets were a little larger (nice because we can fill up the small ones quickly), the bed side table was large (I could fit all my stuff on it), the roll top desk fit the theme and the window air conditioner did not rattle or make any annoying noises. There was coffee in the room and a small continental breakfast in the office.
We would stay here again--it was a fair rate for the room.

Room Tip: Ask for a room farther from the main road-seems to be a busy road.

Thanks for writing such a nice review for us!

We do stay reasonably priced for the entire year, so the prices are always decent. Jail Room has a potential to be decorated in such a creative manner, we are lucky to have such big rooms to work with the space. Those antique furnitures are hard to find, almost makes me wish if someone creates a Black Friday just for antique furnitures.

But thanks for taking some time and writing a little about us, we really appreciate it!

What a fantastic place! The staff was excellent on the phone with me when we reserved the rooms. They originally only had one room. They called another customer and were able to get the last two rooms available. When we arrived and checked in, the guy at the desk was just as friendly and helpful as the staff on the phone. He said "There are not too many motorcycles here this year. Last year we had more." He showed us where we could park the bikes so they were safe.
It felt as if I walked back into time as we entered "The Hotel" (name of our room)
Everything has been updated and is clean and fun to look at. Feels like the Old West with names such as "The Saloon", "The Doctor", "The Barber" (<-even had replica barber poles on the outside of the door) The decorations in each room are so unique. No two are the same. The grassy courtyard was a great place to sip my morning coffee while I enjoyed my FREE breakfast on the patio set with umbrella. The boardwalks on the bottom floor made me feel at home. We will stay here next year also. Maybe try another theme room.

Room Tip: Rooms toward the back (parking lot) are quieter. We had one on the second floor and it was not too n...

Thanks for writing such a nice review for us! When we have busy days, I tend to call all the reservations a day earlier or on the same day just to make sure everything is still on time and they are still going to make it to the hotel. We did had a few reservations that never showed up and it makes us feel bad that we had to say No Vacancy to a lot of people when we could have helped them if we were aware of it from before. So it's a good habit to follow for us.

Motorcycles and me go a long way, I am an auto-enthusiast, so it makes me heart a little more warmer every time I see a cool bike or car around. The hotel is as simple as it sounds or looks, and we love to keep it that way, and we are very glad you enjoyed your stay. And we hope to see more motorcycles show up for the Redwood Run.

Thanks for writing such a nice review for us. We really appreciate it.

Thank You for writing such a nice review about for us!

While checking into the room, I personally take the opportunity to ask every guest to let the management know if they have any questions or concerns regarding their stay and it helps us better ourselves if the guest really confronts their concerns to us while we have a chance to help them. Its almost pointless if a guest has any indifferences which they dont inform the management about while they are still checked-in, either parties are left with some despair. But we are glad we could help make your stay better.

Thanks for taking some time and writing a little about us. We really appreciate it!

This was our third stay at the Old West Inn. The same great reliable, friendly service too plus we even got to stay in the same room which is on the ground floor named the "Stage" room. Large room with a firm king size bed, small refrigerator and microwave for convenience. TV is small but we are not there to watch TV. Room was a non-smoking room and it smelled just fine. We find the rate reasonable at approximately $60 a night. They do provide a "lite" continental breakfast but it is not a lot.

Thanks for writing such a nice review for us! And we are even grateful to you for being a returning guest. We really do appreciate your support towards us!

That constant integral of rates and that same friendly service is our minimal blend that runs the business, and we sure do promise to every guest that we will be a part of that blend for the years to come.

As the time progresses, we do feel the need to improve our rooms even more, we are waiting on a good deal for flat screen televisions and a waffle maker, so our guests could enjoy their stay even better. And as always, we do recommend our guest to write or to inform us about any recommendations they have.

But Thanks for taking some time and writing a little about us. We really appreciate your time and words and Thanks for being the returning guests as well. :)

Have a good day ahead,

We stayed here before going to "Dead On the Creek" music festival. It was very quiet at night The rooms each have a theme which was fun to look at. The bed was good the room was clean.
We go to this festival ever year so we'll be staying here again. The festival is really worth looking into Uncle John does it better than anyone.

Thank you for writing such a nice review for us!
In the summer, there are plenty of music festivals that happen around the area, including Kate Wolf, which is one of the biggest folk music festival that I have heard of.

We are glad you found our place to be your stop for your trip. Thanks for taking some time to write a review for us. We really appreciate it.
