I wanted a nice place to stay that allowed pets and this place is listed as 'pet-friendly', so I made my reservation online 3 days before arrival. When I got there and declared my dog so they would include the fee, the young woman behind the counter said there are no pet rooms available. I told her I booked the room thru Orbitz and chose a room that did NOT say 'no pets allowed' (as some rooms said 'no pets', and the others said nothing about pets, so I assumed I chose the right one). She went in the back room to ask someone and returned saying the same thing. I said I just drove hundreds of miles and don't have a clue of where to go next, and if she is actually going to turn me away, her only response was "I'm new and there are no pet rooms available at all", and just gave me a blank stare.
The worst part of all this is she never said the word 'sorry' or showed any concern or sympathy at all, let alone trying to recommend another place....absolutely nothing.
I called Super 8 and though they do not accept pets, at least the nice man on th phone recommended a place that does.
That young woman has lot to learn about customer service!!!
