Need a weekend away from the kids or whatever... but still close enough to home. Just 45 minutes from Pasadena you will find this beautiful landscaped village type hotel situated on a golf course and lake. This property has a very nice lounge bar area as well as a restaurant that is great. They have a spa which I did not get a chance to visit but I have plans to return. The room was very comfortable, with your own balcony or patio with a view of the golf course or lake. Your very own spa tub in your room which was very relaxing. I highly recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway from the hustle and bustle.

This hotel was the worst I've ever stayed in southern California.

Room: musty smells
Bed: blankets had stains--scary!
Mattress: uncomfortable, seemed old and overused
Noises: refridgerator must also be OLD, loud noises all night long

We paid more than $250 for the mini-suite, and we were totally shocked at how terrible and nasty the room was. Stay away from this place!

I stayed in room 600 -a king bedded room with a fireplace in the bedroom area and a jacuzzi tub/shower in the bath. The room was very spacious and clean however the lounge/barrel chair in the room and the seat at the foot of the bed was in need of reupholstering due to some very bad stains and overall condition. The linens were clean and comfortable and the towels were fluffy and new as well as a brand new bath mat. The desk staff was personable and apologetic due to my room not being ready upon my early arrival.

The hotel restaurant was nice and bright (@ lunch time). Food and service was fine. The lounge (Bogies) was very nice and the service was excellent at the outside bar.

The grounds of the hotel are what make this place stand out. The rose arbors, trees, ponds, ducks, and adjacent golf course are what make this place beautiful. If they didn't have the grounds and flowers growing on the sides of the buildings they would have their work cut out for them to make it a nice place to stay. Don't get me wrong, I liked staying there and would recommend it to anyone but they need to make sure they keep up with the challenge of room maintenance and replacement/refurbishment of the furnishings.

Expecting a nice getaway weekend at Westlake Village Inn, turned unexpectedly ugly. Too many poor service issues and rooms in need of a makeover. The hotel is overwhelmed with guests and understaffed and outmanned. Staff was rude and lied to us. Beware. Spend your money elsewhere.
