For an alleged "upscale" hotel, they can learn a lot. The grounds and architecture are lovely, but this is the third time we've stayed there, and it is obvious that the owner (John Notter) is out of touch. Plumbing problems, shutters that don't close (real pleasant when your room faces east and the sun is glaring in your face), lack of counter space in the bathroom, uncomfortable pillows, dirty carpet, internet that didn't work as advertised (took three calls before someone finally tried fixing it).

Time to sell it to a real hotelier John, the Four Seasons and others are rightfully going to eat your lunch if you can't step up.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for an early Valentines day. We had booked the romance package directly through the hotel. What a great package,we had an awesome room in one of the newer buildings, it had high ceilings and a nice fireplace and included in-room massages for each of us, which were really good. When we got there they brought us a bottle of wine which we drank as we walked around the property, the grounds are really nice with different gardens and lighted walkways. The hotel was close to the freeway but it didnt really bother us.Overall it was great romantic weekend getaway and we will stay here again!

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night. Many of our guests were at a different hotel and we wanted a place all to ourselves. We were in a mini-suite with jacuzzi, fireplace, and king bed and everything was heavenly. After a long day in uncomfortable shoes the jacuzzi bathtub was a welcome respite for my poor feet! There was also a super comfortable couch in front of the fire, and I found a throw blanket in the closet that we snuggled under while we ate the snacks our wedding coordinator had packaged up for us. Much too short a visit, it would have been lovely to stay longer but sadly we had to return to life and work. Maybe we'll return for our first anniversary!

My husband HATES to have to think about Valentines day. At the Westlake Village Inn, he didn't have too. It was a package deal. When the only thing he has to think about is where he left his credit card for the resevation, it's going to be a great time. We LOVED our stay. The room was wonderful and the food at the restraunt was the best. He is already planning my Mother's Day/Birthday getaway. (They fall within days of each other). I'm looking forward to several more getaways here.

We stayed at the Westlake Village Inn the night of our Honeymoon because we were married close by. We stayed in a suite and it was perfect. We didn’t get there until around midnight and left at around 9 am but the short time we were there was lovely. My thoughts are as follows:

The grounds: Gorgeous! We learned of it after we attended a wedding there. It was unfortunately booked for the day of our wedding but I knew I wanted to stay here before we took off for Hawaii. The place is huge and they have ponds, luscious flowers, green crisp grass, waterfalls, fountains and golf! It has everything. Being from the area, I would say that it offers all the beauty of Westlake in one place.

The room: Very pretty and quaint. The bed was comfortable and there was a cute sofa and electric fireplace. It was a very reasonable price for the suite and well worth it. The bathroom was huge and had a gorgeous whirlpool soaking tub with marble and premium bath soaps. It was very relaxing.

The service: We weren’t there very long to experience the service… but the maintenance and housekeeping staff must be terrific because everything is pristine. The front desk workers were also very accommodating.

Overall I would recommend this place as a beautiful gem with outstanding everything.

Every time I come to visit friends in neighboring Thousand Oaks, my husband and I stay at the Westlake Village Inn. Over the past years it has truly become a favorite. After a busy day of travel the Inn offers us a beautiful relaxing environment. It truly makes me feel as if I might be staying in a European inn...that calms the spirit, and transforms me into a true vacation mode. The newly renovated rooms are luxurious..the grounds, gardens, and lake are always a lovely sight to see. It is small and quaint..and the staff is always helpful.

The Westlake Village Inn, until recently, was the destination of choice in this area. The property and landscaping is beautiful. And the rooms are pretty. But there's always annoying problems. I've stayed there a couple of times for quite a few days. There's always a problem. Very low water pressure in the shower, or not enough towels, or light bulbs don't work, or noisy staff at 1 am, some electric plugs don't work. The pillows were all rock hard foam rubber, - the hotel maid kept taking all the blankets we had arranged on the bed to keep warm. I could go on and on. It's just very aggravating. And the business center consisted of one computer with a dial up connection. There wasn't enough light in the room to read anything. Instead of being a relaxing and lovely stay it was aggravating. The staff is nice, but don't bother

We have recently completed a property wide renovation of all our 141 guest rooms and suites. Upgraded amenities found each room include European featherbeds, alternative down comforters and new pillows. Lighting, ac/heat and plumbing improvements were made in addition to the aesthetic improvements. We appreciate your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to re-introduce you to our newly appointed rooms and upgrades.

Kind regards,
Amy Commans
