I guess its okay if its the only game in town, but if you've eaten outside Ventura County, this does not pass. Greasy out of the freezer appetizer plate; dry, yellowing steamed rice, one of the entrees (orange chicken) was good, the other had questionable beef - these are basic dishes. The service was efficient but seemed like it was just plopped down, waiting for you to finish so they could turnover the table. The ambiance is dismal - low lighting, 80s upscale pseudo-diner decor. Hold your cravings for someplace else on the east side of Los Angeles County. Even though I wasn't thrilled with L.A.'s tiny Chinatown, at least the food is good. Alhambra has some choices too.
