“Pretty good happy hour, food is OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

Their happy hour is good with well priced drinks and apps, and they have wine tasting on the weekends, but their dinner is just OK for the price. It's a weird price point - not inexpensive enough that you would think of it as a good option for a family, but not so expensive that you consider it a splurge.
They advertise pretty good lunch specials - $8 for soup & wrap or pizza - and they have a $19 brunch that might be worth checking out, but I probably wouldn't go back here for dinner, only happy hour or wine tasting.

“Great Stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

After a frustrating day of flying and car rental traveling from Denver to West Lake Village, we stopped at The Napa Tavern mid-day and had apps and wine. We had the olive tapenade, cabernet mini burgers, the amazing spicy avocado egg rolls and wine. Have nothing like those delicious egg rolls in Denver. It was a relaxed atmosphere and great service. Refreshed, we were ready to be on our way. Great stop.

“I will not return”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

After our last visit to the Napa Tavern, we have decided not to return. The food is not good and it is over-priced. There is no draft beer, the wine list isn't good. On top of that, the service was awful. Very, very disappointing.

“What you'd expect for westlake village”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012

Our waiter must have gone to some sort of "school to get better tips" as he tried to steer us to more expensive entrees and wines and kept saying how smart we were when we made our choices. Waiter aside, the good was good (although they have quite a few non-sustainable fish choices, so be careful) our steaks (NY Strips) were cooked perfectly. Portions and sides were plentiful and tasty. Good choice of salads. Wine list was a bit over-priced - but then again, this is westlake village.

We were there on a Tuesday night and they made a big deal of us not having reservations but they did finally seat us - and the restaurant stayed half empty the whole night, so not sure what the big deal was... then again... see above... this is westlake village :-)

“These folks put on a great buffet for Thanksgiving”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

In town for the Holiday and with Family's home in the midst of remodel we heard rumors that this was a great choice and they did not disapoint, they had great choices above the usual Thanksgiving fare and food was great, if I had any suggestion it would be the addition of regular mashed potatoes to the bounty as I felt the delicous garlic mashed didn't complement a TG meal, but were grat with the other offerings-feels like I'm over analyzing.Good times, great meal.
