We got a great deal for 2 nights at this hotel through priceline for $70 per night. Our room was a king with a balcony overlooking the gazebo and pool area from the 4th floor, definitely the more scenic side of the building. The lobby and room were definitely up to Hyatt standards. The room was good size, bed comfortable, and the bathroom clean and spotless. Thousand Oaks is a nice residential area with quality shopping centers and restaurants within a short drive. I somewhat disagree with the other reviewer who said this hotel is too far for the LA attractions. We were looking for a quiet area to stay outside of LA, coming from Monterey. On day 1 we drove the 12 miles through the mountains to Malibu, and then down the coast to Santa Monica. We didn't mind the 40 minute ride and it was very scenic. We also did a Warner Bros Studio tour on day 2 and that was 30 minutes down route 101. My only complaint with this hotel was the wedding they had on one of the nights. Our floor was loud with people coming and going with doors slamming late into the evening. Someone also set off ther fire alarm at 4am. Other than that, I definitely recommend this Hyatt.
