“Overrated and overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

We stayed at the Le Parc for 4 days over New Year's Eve. Housekeeping didn't usually show up until late in the afternoon (sometimes when we were back from our daytime sightseeing and getting ready for the evening) and didn't clean the room properly. My hair was in the bathtub all 4 days we were there. I left a note asking for additional toiletries and clean glasses and didn't get any. Had to call the front desk and ask again.
The suite was nice and the flat screen TVs were a nice addition. However, I'd expect to have some flatware, dishes and glasses in it since it was, you know, a suite with a stove and a fridge. Instead, we had to keep asking the front desk for utensils.
Even though the suites have been remodeled, the outside of the hotel looks like a classic rundown LA apartment building (I guess that's what it used to be). The lobby was under construction and we had to go from one end of the building to the other with all our stuff.
They have to figure out a better parking situation too. $30 for daily parking whether you valet or self-park. Really? That was a bit of a rip off.
We had dinner once and breakfast once at the hotel. The food was decent but it took forever to arrive both times. Not because they were busy or we were there at odd hours. At one time there were just two other tables taken so being busy does not justify the delay.
Overall, we had a mediocre experience. For $300+ a night. Definitely overpriced and overrated!

First of all, this is a nice boutique hotel located in a nice residential area and close to shopping, Starbuck's and other necessities. The living room has a nice fireplace, and the balcony, while looking directly on the street, nevertheless is a nice place to have a cup of coffee.
The unit comes with a good refrigerator, table, 2 TVs and lots of closet space.

Where the hotel falls a bit short on are the "amenities". The carports and the lobby are going through major renovations and thus are not always easily accessible. The showers are a bit dated with crusted shower heads.

The master bed is really comfortable with a nice comfortable. However, for the other family members, the fold out couch is not usable if you desire actually sleeping. The sheets are not included in the room when you arrive either for the sofa couch.

It is funny that the complimentary coffee brewer only comes with sugar as an option in all the packages (never an issue at Comfort Inn or Motel 6).

While there are cooking facilities, there are no plates or silverware or pots to be found anywhere? Seems strange.

Finally, if you use the pool deck, which is very nice with a whirlpool and pool, don't plan on using the propane heaters on cold nights as they are decorative only as repeated calls to the desk did not result in any propane materializing.

Now, to give the hotel credit, we stayed here a few years ago and they are doing their best to renovate and paint the rooms, and the staff is courteous if not as responsive as other boutique hotels. We are hopeful that in another year or so they will be able to correct the few things that makes boutique hotels fun to stay at and rise to the class of hotel that they truly can be for Los Angeles

This hotel used to be a residential building which was turned into a hotel. The rooms are all renovated and very spacious. located on a residential street, just a block from nice restaurants and close by to the night life on Sunset Blvd. The staff was very nice and professional. The rooms are very large suites with a kitchenette, and a living room with a working fireplace, and a king size bed and brand new bathrooms. Two TV's, a DVD player and a balcony for smokers.... all in all a very good experience. great value for money and good location.

I loved staying at Le Parc when I was in LA. It felt like an actual home (which is great as I hate staying in hotels usually.) The rooms were beautiful, large, and nearly completely sound proof (and I was there the weekend of Pride). I would absolutely stay again. The staff is great and the valets always had my car at the ready. My only complaint is that breakfast seemed overpriced - but it was delicious!

Stayed here from 5-8th December. Was in LA for meetings and as I used to live in West Hollywood I found the location to be perfect for me. Yes, the hotel is undergoing renovations and to be fair it looks like it needs it a bit in the public areas as time has taken it's toll a bit. But, they're doing it and that's what you'd expect them to do. Yes, this can cause a bit of disruption and noise. I changed rooms for a quieter one with nothing but smiles and understanding from the staff. Nice, easy and quick. The rooms here are very big and the place feels like an apartment block rather than a hotel. It's in a nice secluded spot and like I said the location is perfect as it's easy to reach Hollywood, Century City and the studios from here with minimal fuss. And... if you wanna shop then the Beverly centre is a stroll away. Food wise - your are spoilt for choice and you have some very good places within walking distance. I didn't try the restaurant on site as I really didn't have time but I did grab a beer at the bar and it looked nice. This was my 1st stay here and I'll be back for sure. To compare I usually stay at the Sofitel... not any more.

Room Tip: During renovations I'd ask for a quiet room if possible

Thanks for your visit and for letting us know you'll be back. Our new porte-cochère, which is the last phase of the multi-million renovation the hotel underwent this year, is nearly complete. This change, along with our new rooms, is just one more way we strive to provide the ultimate in accomodations, amenities and guest experiences. Thanks again - hope to see you soon.

There was some renovation going on. Each day we had to ask for a newspaper delivery to the room. Still like the hotel but this was not the best stay. Valet service excellent. Front desk was responsive and apologetic at check out

Needed to go to West Hollywood for a Holiday event and found Le Parc Suites to be in close proximity to our event. The room type I was going to book was not available for the date I needed, but the lady on the phone gave me a better room for the same price. We drove from San Diego and arrived there about 1:00pm. Remembering that check in wasn't until 3:00pm we were pleasantly surprised when they gave us the room early. The suite was beautiful. Had a fireplace, two flat screen tv's, kitchenette, separate bedroom area and a private patio. The bathroom had a shower and tub, a walk in closet and a sit down vanity area. The staff was friendly and the hotel was quiet. It was minutes from all the action on Sunset Blvd but far enough away to be peaceful enough to sleep. I would recommend it to my friends and family and will definitely stay there again.
