“Lovely, but not faultless”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

I have just returned from my second stay at this hotel, having been so impressed first time around in 2011.

As before, the staff are super helpful and very good looking and our room was spacious with wonderful bathroom but a couple of things are not quite 100% ... Breakfast was literally a bun fight as the seating area is clearly too small and queues formed every morning from 9am onwards .... The pool area was cramped and largely in the shade except for a postage stamp sized patch in which two matrons on beds dominated and were surrounded my everyone else trying to catch rays (would have made a good photo in hindsight!) and there was nowhere to sit to have sundowners ... And it cost $13 to print three boarding passes in the business centre for our return. Nonetheless, still a stylish and comfortable place to stay in West Hollywood.

We stayed at the London Hotel in West Hollywood and loved our patio suite! The bedroom and bathroom are just amazing! Loved their amenities and complimentary breakfast, as well.

Wonderful top roof swimming pool area!

Superb hotel. Can't think of a fault. The check in is easy, friendly and quick. The rooms are massive. A great design, feels more like an apartment than a hotel room. The bathroom is also very large and well, just perfect. We loved staying here and thankfully we were here for 3 nights to enjoy it all. The Gordon Ramsey restaurant is very good too. There are loads of dining options within a very short walk on sunset boulevard. I've stayed in great hotels around the world and this is definitely up there with the very best of the best. And whilst I guess it's owned in a chain it doesn't feel like it, it feels much more like a locally owned boutique hotel that loves doing what it does. Congratulations to the owner, management and staff that have come together to make it all work. If and when I'm back in LA this is where I'll stay - no question! P.S. the bed was very comfortable and the night's sleep was great. Slightly noisy road but nothing that earplugs didn't sort.

I was in LA in February (President's Day) and rented a cabana for the day on Saturday from 12-6pm. The hotel is absolutely fabulous and we had a wonderful time hanging out at the rooftop pool. We ordered drinks & food all day and the service was phenomenal - I would recommend this experience to anyone out there. The perfect weather did not hurt :)

I want to go back to visit LA again and this will be a must do!

This is the second time we have stayed at The London. This time we were traveling on business and staying for 3 nights.

Arrival/Check In is extremely straight forward. Reception staff are always very friendly.

On both occasions we have opted to stay in the Veranda Suite. These are located on the 2nd floor and huge and have a great terrace that over looks either the city or the side street. The bathroom is massive, with bath and walkin shower with massage and rain showers. The bed is super king size and there is a lounge area.

Breakfast was included in our booking. It is continental style with coffee/tea/juice, salmon, hams, cheeses, breads, fruit, cereals etc. All served as a buffet. For extra you can order food from the menu. Eggs, bacon etc.

The hotel is located just off of Sunset Strip. You can walk to the Beverly Center within 15 mins. Walk to Santa Monica Blvd within 5 mins.

There is a pool/bar on the rooftop. Very cool on a sunny day in LA.

The bar is great as are the bartenders. We have eaten in the restaurant on a number of occasions and although pricey the food is great and very fresh.

Highly recommend. We will definitely be staying there again when we are next in LA.

Room Tip: Rooms have balconies. Ask for one facing the cityview.

This hotel is by far the best hotel I have stayed at in a very long time. From check in to check out, it's perfect.
Our room (705) was very large and beautifully designed with a huge bathroom. The breakfast is fantastic and Marina greets you with a lovely smile each morning. The roof top pool was very nice and even though it was very busy when we went up, still very quiet. Sarah from the concierge desk made some wonderful restaurant selections for us. I can't think of 1 think that they can improve on, and I can always find something not to my liking. Even the location is perfect, it says West Hollywood but it's literally a block to Beverly Hills with lots of dining options all around. I look forward to our next trip to LA so I can stay at the London again.

Room Tip: We asked for high floor and we got a lovely room on 7th floor. (705)

Had the chance to experience the bar scene at The London and was not disappointed. The scene is one where you always expect to see a B List actor or an occasional A Lister. The night I was there the scene was rather quiet expect for an actor from Law and Order-- he had one of those faces you recognize but can't recall fast enough to say "Hey, I know you from . . ."

The mixologist-- that's what they are called in Gordon Ramsey's great world-- was a very personable and knowledgable guy named Grafton. He knew his craft well and was there when needed and available when needed. The guy is very professional and his height and good looks are a great opening to the experience.

If you are in the area, stop in. The place is not to be missed.
