“Loved Everything About This Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

Loved the room (on the 7th floor facing the downtown); the big beautiful bathroom; the free WiFi, the location, the wonderful breakfast, the look of the place, the rooftop pool and bar. Everything. Stay here if you can!

Room Tip: Pick a high floor facing away from Sunset Blvd for a quieter room

I stayed at the London in October 2012 during the time of Hurricane Sandy in the Northeast. The bedroom was spacious and having 2 shower heads was a nice touch. The staff were very responsive and courteous. The daily breakfast was great. A great mix of fruits, yogurt, pastries, toast, bagels, cereal, and very nice wait staff. Also took advantage of the great weather and rented a cabana space. Was expensive but definitely something you should try once if you can. The pastries they gave though were a bit stale. They looked like leftovers from the morning. The gym was pretty good in my opinion, bikes, treadmills, weights. One negative I think was the valet service. When it got really crowded at night, sometimes I had to wait a long time, especially annoying when you are staying at the hotel and those there for a party or dinner were getting their cars before you even though you called down well in advance. Overall, though it was a bit pricey, I think that the experience was positive and would definitely stay again if I could.

We had 2 adjoining rooms, both of which were large, each with a balcony & great LA views. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms huge, robes and slippers provided as well as all the little extras that make guests feel special. There was a coffee machine & a supply of pods in each room, nothing beats fresh coffee in the morning. Breakfast in the Boxwood Cafe was included, there was plenty of choice & everything we had was delicious, yoghurt with fresh berries, fruit juices, bagels, toast with home made jams, fruit salad, cereals, muesli. There was hot food too however we were happy with cereal & toast. The rooftop pool is a beautiful place for a quiet drink in the evening, the views are fantastic. We had a family dinner at Gordon Ramsay, located just off the lobby, we all agreed it was one of the best meals we've ever had, even the vegetarian in our group agreed. We were heading to Vegas the next day so our waiter gave the younger ones in our party tips on which clubs to visit on New Year's Eve. The London is in an ideal location, close to all the top clubs, minutes from Rodeo Drive & Century City shopping mall. There are many restaurants a few minutes walk along Sunset Blvd. A delightful stay, we will be staying at The London next time we are in LA.

Spacious rooms with really large bathrooms (double showers and huge bath tub).

The location is great in a nice tidy area, tucked just off the main streets. Approx 1km (nice walk) to Sunset Strip which has many great restaurants and shops.

The complimentary continental breakfast buffet and coffee is great - a perfect way to start each day. We also dined in the Gordon Ramsay restaurant for dinner which was gorgeous, it is a 'small plate' restaurant where you order 2-4 plates per person so you get to try a lot of different things.

The hotel is gorgeous and we'd definitely come back.

Room Tip: All rooms start as 'London Suites' which are huge compared to other hotel rooms - so you can...

We stayed here on NYE for 2 nights and it was not long enough.

The staff were amazing - so helpful and friendly. We arrived in very early from our flight on NYE and did not expect to be able to check in so early - the room was ready when we arrived which was fantastic because it gave a chance to have a decent rest before celebrating NYE.

The room was amazing. I found the layout strange when we first saw the room but it actually works really well. The bathroom was my favourite - wow what a bathroom! The bath was a nice big proper soaking tub - perfect to recover in after a day on your feet.

The staff were always more than accommodating at all times - every request we had they were able to assist.

The rooftop pool has amazing views - well worth going up to have a drink and take in the sights.

The only downside we found with hotel was that breakfast was pretty average. It was sufficient but not up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel and limited selection of food.

we were returning from 2 weeks in thailand and decided to spend several days in la before returning home to michigan. i had deliberated between several hotels including the beverly hills hotel and the beverly wilshire ultimately deciding on the london west hollywood. what a great choice! first of all the location is great. plenty of little shops and restaurants within a block. also whiskey-a-go-go and viper room. the rooms are every bit as nice as described and the entire hotel staff is as friendly and helpful as anywhere we've every stayed. but what really made our stay special was sarah, the concierge. i contacted her well over a month before our arrival asking for advice for new years eve. she put a lot of work into planning this evening, calling and emailing me several times. she ulimately put together a spectacular night for my wife and i including a wonderful steak dinner at masto's and a new yrs eve party at grauman's egyptian theatre. the highlight of the evening was when our waiter brought out the restaurant's signature dessert, the warm butter cake, "compliment of your concierge". sarah also gave my wife advice on shopping and helping her decide what to wear for the evening. all-in-all our trip was perfect and this is the only hotel we will ever stay at in la.

Great location in the heart of West Hollywood, The London delivers. The David Collins design is outstanding. Glamorous and tasteful, it is a design full of wow moments and attention to detail. The rooms are a good size and the bathrooms the best I have ever experienced. If you're a fan of the bathrooms in the opening sequence of Mommie Dearest, you'll LOVE it here. Service is as one would expect from a hotel in this price bracket and be sure to make you use of the hotel chauffeur service which you can't book but is free (+tip) and available on a first come, first served basis.

Calls to London are free from the hotel which is a witty touch.

Room Tip: Most rooms are same standard and same size but go for a city view - breathtaking at night
