Sunset Tower Hotel

I booked a room at the hotel for my wedding night, but I didn't mention that to the hotel. When I arrived to check in I had my tux over my arm and they asked what the occasion was. When I told them it was my wedding day they instantly upgraded my room to a suite on the top floor at no charge! The staff was courteous and helpful, and the food in the restaurant was excellent... both my wife and I love good food and it was really a pleasant stay. The view or should I say VIEWS from our room was/were STUNNING... the decor was gorgeous and was a perfect blend of modern amenities with deco style, we really felt like we were transported right back into old Hollywood, except we could use our ipod... of course, it helped to have several celebrities hanging out at the table next to us in the restaurant. Certainly not a cheap hotel, by any sense of the word, but well worth the cost. Being a local Los Angelean it was a wonderful getaway right in my own backyard. We will definitely be going back, and we're talking about making it an annual anniversary getaway.

So there's no shortage of hotels on the sunset strip but finding one that gets beyond the location to actual service and comfort can be tough. Stayed one night at the Sunset Towers this week and it's definitely my new destination when i need to stay in this area.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Location excellent. And noise is less than you'd find at some other sunset joints.

Also it didn't hurt that they upgraded me to a duplex. It had a 70s vibe - kinda out of date in some ways - but wow, what a view and tons of space.

Easily my favorite place to stay on Sunset Blvd now, the recent renovations adds an entirely new sheen that makes you feel even more like a 30s Hollywood star than before. Panoramic views of the chaos down below along with the more pretentious hotels adds even more of a grin to your face.

I recently hosted my husband's surprise 40th birthday at the hotel and it was fantastic. The staff was unbelievably helpful. We had a fantastic room with an unsurpassed view of the city, the restaurant is amazing and I just can't say enough fantastic things about the staff. They really went above and beyond to make his birthday special. One of my friend said it best "they seemed to really care." Having hosted events for large groups in the past I can tell you that hotel staffs are notorious for spoiling surprises. Not only did they not spoil the surprise but the entire staff of the hotel seemed to know what was going on and they made sure that everything went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend them for honeymoons, weddings, special events or a fantastic vacation.

Booked a 1 bed apartment for the stay and when we arrived we were upgraded to a townhouse suite. It was pure luxury, over two floors, seperate entrance from the rest of the rooms and amazing views of LA. I casually asked for a recommendation on where to go out and the receptionist promptly got us onto the guest list of a top club in Hollywood. The only food we had was breakfast and the pancakes were out of this world. Cannot rate this place enough, we were treated like royalty and the hotel was outstanding.
