The staff was excellent. From the valet, to the front desk, to the bell boy--each person extended hospitality and service. The suite was the perfect size for the 3 of us and the roll-away was actually quite comfortable (no charge). We opened our 2 sliding glass doors right onto the small pool area and the wait service brought us our margaritas right away. The disappointing part was how shabby the building was. It made the whole "hotel" feel like a motel. The sliding doors looked like they were going to fall apart when you opened them and the poolside area and restaurant need to be updated (it felt like you were eating at a cheap cafe next to a pool at an old rundown motel). For almost $400 a night and for being such a small hotel, you'd think that they'd put more into the aesthetics of the place. I walked the back grounds near the villas and the villa pool and felt the same about the lack of aesthetics. In addition someone decided to rearrange the pool furniture at 6am, when they know good and well their clientele are the 'out till 3am' types. On a positive note, the location is incredibly convenient for a night out in Hollywood and the rooms are well decorated but I'm not sure if I'd put another $400 for a night here unless they undergo some maintanence.
