I'm writing this review now because I'm planning a trip back to visit friends in West Hollywood next week and am presently checking hotels in the area.

The location is great so I'm giving a 2 rating. I have to say something about staff there-the first face-to-face meeting was a disappointment, especially after driving for 6 hours. They were very callous and indifferent. The blame goes to management, though, for not doing their job.

I've decided to go to another hotel.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is right in the heart of West Hollywood and is close to all the bars, clubs and restaurants. The staff was indifferent, almost rude upon check in. The decor is 1980's and the hall on the floor where our room was
located smelled like vomit. The furniture was cheap and tacky, and the bed was uncomfortable. The property is in extreme need of a facelift and the staff needs an attitude adjustment. Also, they charge $10 a night for parking! Very mediocre hotel and best and not at all worth the $180 a night we paid. Avoid.

I was very pleasantly surprised by my stay at the Ramada. I was a bit nervous after reading all of the reviews, and was only staying there as I had mates staying there, but had absolutely no problems at all.

The rooms are a little dated, but were clean and cleaned daily. Both my room and my friend's rooms were fine. The pool area was really nice also. Staff weren't particularly helpful and we did experience some problems with getting messages, but overall it was a really nice stay. There's no restaurant or bar or anything, but there is plenty in the surrounding area.

We were staying there for the proximity to bars and clubs along Santa Monica Blvd, so in that respect it was a great location.

I would stay there again.

After a busy day in West Hollywood we decided to stay overnite and found ourselves at the Ramada. Upon arriving at the front desk we were "greeted" by some chick who looked like she just got out of prison and before we even asked if there was a room available she stated "we have no rooms" and walked away....didn't even look at us. I then called Ramada to complain about this ray of sunshine. They apologized and said that in fact there were rooms available. We went back to the front desk and told the ex-con that there were rooms available. She said, "so, do you want one, or what??" We took the room...because we didn't know where else to go. The room was dated and dumpy... 80's decor and smelled like vomit. The clerk at check out was surly and disinterested. Not even a thank you. The only good thing about this hotel was leaving it. Won't be back.
