We visited LA for an August wedding and stayed at the lovely LeMontrose in West Hollywood, CA. It's the world's best kept secret, snuggled quietly in a residential area. We've never stayed at a hotel where we didn't have at least one complaint...NOT the LeMontrose. The suites are nicely decorated, quite large and roomy, and the step down from the bedroom into the sitting area is a nice feature with a railing that separates the two rooms. The bathroom is roomy with a large makeup counter away from the sink, wonderful makeup mirrors (2) a roomy closet and LOTS of drawer space throughout the suite. There's a comfortable sofa, chairs, desk w/ports for laptops, phones in every nook and cranny, a lovely glass top table and chairs, perfect size kitchen w/small refrigerator conveniently stocked w/water, juice, sodas and beer. A nice touch is the goody basket full of crackers, nuts and cookies when you get the munchy urge. Separating the livingroom from the kitchen is a counter w/high bar stools and a lovely view through the glass sliding doors onto the balcony. Even though it was summer the weather was cool in the mornings/evenings so we took advantage of the cozy fireplace..."push a button...instant fire." We relaxed with coffee and juice in the room and enjoyed the fireplace before going to the restaurant. The service was superb...never more than a ten minute wait for room service. Of course there would have been NO wait had we placed our breakfast selections on the easy to mark card on the door the night before. We kept our car in the garage and each time we called, it was ALWAYS waiting when we got to the front entrance. We thoroughly enjoyed the treadmill and saunas in the fitness center. It was small and cozy and we always met nice people. The entire hotel staff was friendly, efficient and very helpful. especially John Douponce, General Manager. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and HIGHLY recommend the LeMontrose!
