From our experience at staying at this hotel, it was overpriced. The hotel looks great, that is undeniable. The room was nicely decorated, the bed very comfortable, and the newspaper was there early every morning. The maids were friendly and helpful.
For a complimentary breakfast it was good. Bagels, with cream cheese, or jams and butter, pastries, doughnuts, french bread, cheese, eggs, juice, coffee, tea, cereal, and fruit. excellent. also, you can use the interent in the dining room for 10 mins free.
however, here are the problems which left me feeling frustrated. the rooms have no double glazing. so even though we were at the side of the building we could hear road traffic noise. we then moved and had a room facing onto the pool. great. it looked beautiful, but it was spring break and people sat out all night using the patio furniture in front of our room drinking and making so much noise. the rooms are extremely poorly sound proofed and we could hear loud televisions from upstairs and next door. also one night there was a very loud fan noise, which when we asked why it sounded like an airplane was in our room we were told it was the fan function from another room and could not be stopped!!
reception responded to all our requests, but they were not friendly or pleasant about it, except for one lady who was very smiley and nice.
overall, i felt that for paying over $200 a night (including taxes) i should not have to put up with loud people outside my room, noise from fans and other people's tv's, and have to wear ear plugs.
on the plus side it is safe and looks nice.
