It is a great shame the service is average as the hotel itself is a lovely hotel in a good location.
Rooms are nice and lovely beds and even though on a busy road you don't hear the traffic and our room was on the busy road. Very clean and tidy with good facilities. Breakfast is good but a tiny breakfast room so if the hotel is busy you get your breakfast on level 3 then go to a conference room on level 4. Not so convenient! Location is the bonus to this hotel and very accessible to many eating possibilities with an awesome venue directly across the road where you could eat every day if you wanted.
The staff are not rude but just not very forthcoming.
I would recommend this hotel for middle of the road not too expensive option.

We stayed here for a week during the UK October school holidays. The staff were extremely helpful, especially considering we had trouble checking in due to our Bank card being blocked due to the clocks going back in London! They recommended sites to see, gave helpful directions and warned us of the craziness expected on Halloween! The rooms were clean and had adequate space - the fridge and microwaves an added bonus.

The pool area was lovely, well maintained, just a shame that in October there was less opportunity to use it as the evenings were cooler.

The breakfast was an added bonus - very good quality and helpful staff. A very good selection of hot and cold food, which we didn't expect.

The location of the hotel was also great - a good central base for us as we went to the Hollywood area, universal, the other studios, Beverly Hills, Malibu and explored west Hollywood itself. We had a car which made life much easier but there's plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.

I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would definitely stay again.

This was our first time visiting the L.A. area and we picked this hotel from the AAA travel book. It turned out to be a great place to stay. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool area and what was really nice was that you could open the window and let some of the nice warm breezes in. The pool area was very well kept and full of beautiful pink flowers. The daily breakfast was also very good. In addition to cereals and baked goods, it also featured bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and a waffle station. This saved a lot of time in the A.M. rather than having to go out for breakfast. The location is great. There are a lot of nice restaurants within walking distance and the Hollywood attractions are only a short drive or cab ride away. It was easy to get a cab at the hotel also. Every staff member that we encountered was most helpful and friendly. If we ever have the pleasure of visiting L.A. again we will definitely stay here!

We had driven by this property numerous times in the past and finally booked a room. What a great surprise. Close to a lot of restaurants and things to see in Hollywood. Great parking under the building and clean comfortable rooms. The pool area is quite a surprise tucked away from busy Sunset. The only downside is that you are very close to the House of Blues and if the music bothers you ask for a room on the opposite side. Would definitely stay again!!
