Note: If you're turned off by the "Industry Types" at Urth, then you probably don't want to go anywhere in LA, because the entire city runs on the entertainment industry. That being said, if you're offended by the way others dress and act, you might feel uncomfortable at Urth Caffe, because as with any LA hotspot, everyone is overdressed and in a hurry.
Pros: The workers at Urth (I think they're from Peru, or a nearby country) always take the time to smile and answer any questions you have. The crowd may seem pushy, but the workers are the nicest around. Urth has the best coffee selection you'll find. While you're there, buy a French press and throw away your coffee maker. You can't call yourself a coffee drinker if you're still using a filter. The tea selection is unmatched. Try the oatmeal and Spanish Latte.
Cons: Everything on the menu is overpriced, but that comes with the area/clientele. This isn't the "coffee house crowd" where you can order a small coffee and hang out all day with your laptop.
Bottom Line: If you're single, on a date, or looking for a cool quick lunch with a client, Urth Caffe is the place to go.
