I stayed here as part of a group so we got a decent rate. The rooms are VERY nice, the bed is probably the most comfortable I've slept on in my life. Maid service was excellent, I came home every night to a turned down bed and they even folded my pajamas! They also have a high degree of ethics, the first day the maid didn't even take my tip because I left the money on the table so I guess they didn't want to assume that the $2 was for them, they only took the tip when I left the cash on the bed. I didn't get a chance to use some of the nice amenities because I got back late every night and just hit the pillows but I did use the computer "room" (actually a teeny tiny closet with two computers) on the 4th floor to check my email which was convenient and free which is always a nice touch. My room looked out at nothing in particular and was extremely quiet but one of my friends got a room next door to Boa and it was really loud until 2 am, so beware when you're checking in.
The location is convenient to pretty much all of the main sites in LA but only if you have a car. If you're not going clubbing then the section of Sunset the hotel is on is really quite boring. I stayed in a wheelchair accessible room and my only complaint is that the hotel has no double bedded rooms that are accessible so I had to opt for a king. Not a problem as I was staying by myself but inconvenient if you're a person with a disability traveling with a friend and don't want to share a bed. It would've been impossible to fit a rollaway in as that would've precluded access to the closet and such. The bathroom was gigantic though and with nice toiletries. Also, the doors are very tough to open, and some of my friends who do not have disabilities had trouble too so it was not just me. If anyone at the hotel is reading this, please grease the doors or shave the bottoms or something!
