I can't fault this hotel at all.

I stayed for 5 nights in the middle of summer and had the most amazing time.

The rooms are well decorated, staff were EXTREMELY helpful, comfy beds, the car service was very handy, the location is second to none, internet is free, and they have a deal with tour companies where they pick you up from the hotel in the morning and drop you back off in the evening.

There is an ipod dock in each room, the air con is very powerful yet quiet, the pool is beautiful and 4 people fit very comfortably into a double room - the beds are large and our feather down pillows were a treat!

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. 5/5 stars!

Stayed here in October 2008 in a standard twin room.
The concierge at our Vegas hotel booked us in for one night here and called direct to the hotel for a better rate.
Found the price to be very reasonable for the great location on Sunset.
Loved the leopard print bed clothes and the hotel felt very homely which I personally loved, but other people in my party were not mad about!
Great ipod/mp3 speaker system in the room and retro picsures on the walls.
Loved the pool area and it looked lovely at night too!
Would definitely stay here again.

Just came back from LA and stayed at the Grafton and was really impressed. Have read the mixed reviews but found this Hotel had everything we needed. Clean good size rooms with all the mod cons. The pool area looked nice but did not have time to visit that area.

Went to the Boa Bar a couple of times which had a nice realaxed atmosphere and great staff.

Would stay here again. Good location for bars.

Only stayed for one night unfortunately!

I thought it had a lovely feel to it, we also went in the Mondrian next door and as you would perhaps expect it wasn't quite so relaxed or welcoming.

I had a King sized room on the same floor as reception. Even though I was so close to the public areas I didn't hear any noise. Lovely big size, lacking in space to put things in the bathroom - no where to put the hairdryer but the floor!

But, nice size. Big closet with digital safe tucked away in there. Was a big chaise longue, armchair and then a desk and chair as well. So you don't just have to sit on the bed, which I always prefer in hotels. Nice welcome basket and toiltries in the room.

I really like the pictures on the wall, a bit more interesting that your average room. Great bar, restaurant also looked nice. Walking distance to Sky Bar, House of Blues and a Pink Dot right by the hotel.

  • Liked — It's character
  • Disliked — Front line staff could perhaps have been a bit more helpful

We just came back from 3 nights at The Grafton and it was great. We arrived early and our room was ready....that was a bonus!
The room was at the pool level(if you can, get a room that walks on to the pool - very cool). The staff at the front desk were soooo sweet and helpful. They go out of their way to answer all of your questions...they even suggested places for us to go.

The rooms in the hotel are well equipped....iron, hairdryer, robes etc. The beds are really comfy, but it does need a bit of updating.
Our bathroom door was a bit of a mess and so were the bathroom walls...bad paint job I think. But, the room was spotless and the bathroom had cool little samples.

I would definately go back to The Grafton...it's a perfect location. It's up the street from the House of Blues, The Standard Hotel(infamous for Britney Spears romps) and some great restaurants such as Chin Chin.

If it's your first time to LA, be aware that everything is FAR APART. If you are cabbing it all over, be prepared to pay big bucks....but driving is mental!

Feel free to email me if you have any other questions.

Cheers!
